The room I stayed in was impeccably clean and the bed was so comfortable. The hotel is located in an amazing area, surrounded by beautiful hills and in a stunning valley. The breakfast staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, serving a delicious freshly cooked breakfast. The hotel had excellent facilities and there was ample parking available.

This inn is located in a beautiful valley in the Lake District, surrounded by hills and near Ullswater Lake. The rooms are clean and compact, with excellent showers. The bar/restaurant offers an outstanding selection of food, with the staff being friendly and approachable. The service is prompt and the breakfast is tasty. The inn is a hidden gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The bed could be more comfortable, especially for those with slight back problems.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely stunning, nestled in the wild hills of the Lake District. It's perfect for those who love hiking, with lots of different routes available right at your doorstep. The hotel facilities were top-notch, and we especially enjoyed the cosy inn atmosphere with a lovely fireplace where we could enjoy great food and drinks. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and their knowledge of the area was impressive. Additionally, the hotel was really clean and well-maintained, which added to our overall pleasant experience.

We spent four nights at this charming and cozy hotel, enjoying the breathtaking views of the mountains and fells from every window. The location was perfect, as we were able to go on incredible walks right from the hotel, exploring the picturesque hills and soaking in the natural beauty. The menu selection was fantastic, with generous portions that left us satisfied after just two courses. We especially loved ending our days with a pint and crisps, enjoying the peaceful and quiet atmosphere away from the touristy hotspots. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hot shower was a treat after a day of exploring. the Brotherswater Inn provided us with a memorable and delightful experience, and we can't wait to return.

Delicious Food and Exceptional Service

We had a delightful family camping trip at Sykeside Campsite, and we decided to have a family meal at the nearby Brotherswater Inn. The food exceeded our expectations with restaurant-quality dishes like Spaghetti Bolognese, Rainbow Trout, Cumberland Sausage, and Fish & Chips. Everyone in our group was satisfied with their meals. The cozy ambiance with breathtaking mountain views added to the overall experience. We've been here before and knew exactly what to expect, which is why we're already planning a return trip. I highly recommend this fantastic place.

Great location with beautiful mountain views and a perfect base for walking. Comfy beds and excellent, reasonably priced food. the breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of teas to choose from.

Rooms and bathrooms were a bit on the small side. Towels were not changed on the second day, leaving them still damp from the day before.

The value for money at Brotherswater Inn was excellent, with a tidy and clean room for a great price. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding walks and enjoying stunning views. The staff were friendly, professional, and made us feel at home throughout our stay.

Lovely B&B in Glenridding. Staff were super helpful for our requests, put us in touch with a taxi , breakfast doesn’t start until 8am so they arranged that we could have something for the morning we were setting off earlier. We ate an evening meal in the pub which was tasty and good value. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Brotherswater Inn and I must say, it was outstanding. The location is simply breathtaking, with stunning views all around and a tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for a peaceful getaway. The staff at the Inn were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was nothing short of excellent. The room I stayed in was cozy and warm, providing a comfortable haven after exploring the cold outdoors. The food at the Inn was delicious, served piping hot and in generous portions. The highlight for me was the picturesque campsite next door, where I enjoyed a lovely lunch while admiring the snow-capped fells. The hearty meals, such as the jacket potatoes with mackerel and prawn or Applewood smoked cheddar and caramelised onion fillings, were a delight to indulge in. The choice of ales on handpumps was impressive, especially the Cocker Hoop and the golden pale ales, which were lip-smackingly good. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as limited phone service and some physical obstacles for less able individuals, they were easily overshadowed by the overall exceptional experience. I highly recommend Brotherswater Inn for its exceptional position and helpful staff. my stay was fantastic and I can't wait to visit again.

We stayed at Brotherswater Inn for 3 nights and had an absolutely fantastic time. The breakfast and dinner were superb, and the location was perfect for walking in the stunning Lakes. The owner and staff were wonderful, going above and beyond to help us. They even arranged a new set of hiking poles for us at a great price. The bathroom, although small, was newly remodeled and the radiators provided plenty of heat. The drive to the property was straightforward and the views were breathtaking. The pub area had a well-stocked bar and gorgeous hill views, making it a great place to relax. a fantastic stay and we would definitely return during the cooler months.
