the bull in ditchling truly impressed during my recent stay. the comfortable room and well-designed ambiance exceeded my expectations, and the excellent evening meal and local beer were highlights. the friendly staff and convenient location added to the overall great experience. a previous visit to ditchling made me appreciate this stay even more.

our stay at the hotel was great value for money. The room was lovely and comfortable, with modern amenities and a cozy en suite bathroom. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, from the friendly lady who greeted us upon arrival to the excellent advice given by our waitress at breakfast on where to visit. The hotel's location was convenient and the pub atmosphere was relaxed. The breakfast was delicious and the log fire added a nice touch to the dining experience.

If there was one thing that could be improved about the breakfast choices, it would be the dry fish in the batter and not-so-crisp chips served on the first night.

With close proximity to Lewes, guests can explore the charming countryside and nearby attractions. The newly refurbished rooms provide a clean crisp feel with wood floors, and the food is beautifully presented, showcasing the attention to detail. The staff is friendly and the service is top-notch, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The noise level from adjacent rooms can be a bit overwhelming at times.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this charming inn. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The bed sheets were crisp and the towels were soft and fluffy. We especially loved the central location, right in the heart of the village. The bar and restaurant area were also very nice, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast there with plenty of choices. our experience at this inn was fantastic and we would highly recommend it.

Good-sized bathroom with heated towels and superb shower. Highly recommended restaurant with easy parking nearby. Lovely pub in a great location with delicious food and a beautiful garden. Efficient management quickly resolves any issues. a very enjoyable stay in a charming village.

Spent Christmas at a charming hotel in a quaint Sussex village. the Christmas dinner was scrumptious, with a delicious turkey and all the trimmings. the staff were friendly and attentive, and even provided a lovely surprise gift in each guest room. the location was great, with lots of fun activities in the nearby area, like carol singing and countryside walks. the rooms were cozy and well-equipped, with comfy beds and modern amenities.

Although the hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays, the overall ambiance felt a bit outdated and could benefit from some modernization. the hotel’s restaurant was a bit pricey, and the menu could be more diverse.

Reception was unwelcoming and didn't improve throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the food made me sick shortly after finishing my meal, which was a major disappointment.

We arrived late and were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. the breakfast, served by a charming Irish lady, was excellent. the old building had a lovely ambience and the staff ensured it was spotlessly clean. Our room, although quirky and fun, had a slightly overstyled decor. it was spacious and we were provided with complimentary water, tea, coffee, and biscuits. the breakfast menu had a variety of options and the food was tasty. the Bull in Ditchling is a great place to stay while exploring the South Downs way.
