As women traveling alone, we loved the warm and cozy atmosphere of this charming hotel. Coming back from shopping to a roaring fire and friendly welcome was delightful. The food was delicious and great value. The lounge and bar were inviting, and the staff was always helpful and friendly.

We thought The George Hotel would be a great place to unwind after a night out. Unfortunately, the bar has been under refurbishment for over a year, so we couldn't enjoy a relaxing drink. The location is close to the Slug And Lettuce night club, so we expected a lively atmosphere. However, we were taken straight to the restaurant area instead of the bar, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, the room was comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was delicious.

The staff seemed indifferent and uninterested in our needs.

The location is perfect, right in the center of town with a local Mexican restaurant right next door. It is very convenient to most historic sites and attractions. The service was exceptional, with room service, dry cleaning, and laundry available. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and the room amenities were fantastic, including ironing facilities, heating, and tea and coffee facilities. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a mini-bar and a cozy sitting area. We also enjoyed spending time on the terrace, which had comfortable garden furniture. The staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service, making our stay even more enjoyable.

One minor issue we encountered was a slight language barrier with a member of staff at the reception desk who did not fully understand the system or speak fluent English. However, this did not detract from our overall positive experience.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location of the building is close to all the attractions in this city. The hotel facilities were great, with comfortable lounges and a bar that had a live singer and lovely cocktails. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and good at their jobs. The rooms were very comfortable and well decorated. The breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of choices, and they even had gluten-free bread available for my wife who has coeliac disorder. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch as well.

The service is generally excellent, with friendly receptionists and easy check-in. The breakfast buffet in the main dining room across the road is diverse and satisfying, with unlimited teas and coffees.

Despite its many positives, the lack of a lift in the hotel could be inconvenient for guests with mobility issues.

Stayed here for a weekend break and thoroughly enjoyed it! the complementary breakfast was a great way to start the day, and the free Wi-Fi was a huge plus. the hotel is situated in a prime location, near all the best attractions. the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel at home.

The hotel can improve on its cleanliness. We noticed some dust and spider webs in the lounge and our room.
