Noisy and inconsistent bathroom facilities.

We got great value for our money at The George Inn. The room was comfortable, peaceful, and had a nice surprise with cold water and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The location was absolutely stunning, surrounded by breathtaking views and within easy reach of walking points and local pubs and shops. The staff were friendly, warm, and always helpful.

The breakfast option could be improved with more variety, especially in terms of fruits and condiments.

If you're looking for the perfect base to explore the beautiful Peak District, this pub is a great choice. Its location is exceptional, very near to the Mamtor hike and close to all tourist attractions. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and warm - perfect for a good night's sleep. The staff are friendly and helpful, making sure you have everything you need. The breakfast is exceptional and will set you up for a day of adventure.

The bathroom in one of the rooms could do with some refurbishment.

The food was absolutely delicious, above average quality, and there were plenty of tables to sit at and enjoy it. the staff were lively and welcoming, adding to the comfortable and friendly atmosphere. the room was very comfortable with a lovely big bed, providing a good night's sleep.

The chef was on his day off and they could only offer sandwiches or pizza, which was a bit of a blow as we had planned to stay in one place for the evening. the bar shut at 10pm, limiting our options for late-night relaxation and drinks.

We had a wonderful stay in a traditional old English pub in beautiful surroundings. The room was large, clean, and had all the necessary amenities, including a fan during the hot weekend. The breakfast selection was delicious and filling. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even reserving tables for guests. The location in the centre of the village was perfect, and there was a lovely verandah for residents to relax on.

Parking could be difficult at times, but we were fortunate to find a space nearby.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the central location and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The Veranda, exclusively for guests, provided a perfect spot to unwind and meet new people. The breakfast choices were extensive and satisfying, fueling us for our outdoor adventures. The complimentary water and wine in the room were a pleasant surprise.

We had a two night stay at The George Inn and it was a delightful experience. The room was spacious and clean, with a huge comfy bed that provided a great night's sleep. The bathroom was exceptional, and we even had a little private terrace with a stunning view of the hills. The complimentary small bottle of merlot and water bottles were a lovely touch. The breakfast served at the inn was the best we had all week. The location of the inn was perfect, right in the centre of the village, and we were able to easily explore the local attractions and enjoy the quaint tea rooms and gift shops nearby. The staff made our stay even better, always friendly and accommodating. we highly recommend The George Inn for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
