Spent Christmas at this medieval inn and had a blast! the rooms were cozy and warm, with real fires and comfy beds. the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was the best - especially the hearty breakfasts and brie and bacon sandwich. Loved the fact that the location was quiet, but just a short distance from a key destination. we had a relaxing and enjoyable time.

The road noise was a bit disruptive at times, which could be bothersome for light sleepers. the separate bathroom across the corridor was not ideal, but thankfully it was just for one night.

I had an amazing stay at this historical hotel, feeling like I had traveled back in time. The rooms were beautifully decorated with authentic medieval and 18th-century architecture, and my room even had a stunning four-poster bed.
