I recently stayed at The Golden Lion for a few nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always dressed professionally. The parking area at the rear of the hotel was spacious and convenient. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and I was pleased to learn that it had recently been refurbished along with the rest of the hotel. Despite a bit of noise from deliveries and traffic outside, the location was quiet and peaceful. The set menu at the restaurant was delicious and offered great value for money. Additionally, the hotel's central location allowed for easy access to the nearby High Street.

The single beds were a great size, allowing for a comfortable night's sleep without worrying about falling out. The location on the high street was ideal and the large, easily accessible car park was a bonus.

Conveniently located, within walking distance of the train station and centrally placed in town. the staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Enjoyed the tasty breakfast and the fact that free parking was available. It was also great to have a variety of options for dining during the happy hour.

The lighting in the rooms was poor, especially for business travelers needing to work in the evenings. This could be a nuisance for those who prefer not to work in the bar area.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist who went out of her way to return my forgotten makeup bag.
