Lastly, the rooms were equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the extra goodies supplied were a pleasant surprise. The freshly cooked to order breakfast was the perfect start to our day.

We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a spacious and quiet room opening onto a beautiful garden. The staff were welcoming and provided helpful information about local attractions. The room had a good selection of refreshments and we enjoyed the fresh coffee. The interior design was stunning, with attention to detail.

Had a wonderful Christmas stay at a stunning hotel down a quiet lane. the friendly staff showed us to a tastefully decorated room with a double bed, chairs, and a TV. Tea and coffee facilities were available. the bathroom was lovely, with a bright window and a cozy bath. the breakfast, with a choice of continental or full English, was delicious. Loved the large pot of tea/coffee accompanying it. One more surprise: the stunning garden view from the room!

The firm bed and solid pillows may challenge the preferences of some guests. Plus, the hot water issue was a real bummer, as one may have to wake up early to grab a shower before it runs out for the day.

I especially appreciated the little touches like the coffee making machine, fresh fruit, and local soft drinks provided in the room. I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent dinner at the hotel's restaurant, which was preceded by a drink in their cozy bar. The location of the hotel in the peaceful village of Oborne, close to Sherborne with its famous Abbey and school, was an added bonus. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.
