The value for money at this hotel is excellent, especially considering the attention to detail and the friendly staff who go the extra mile. Whether you're visiting the nearby Mill at Sonning theatre or the Bull pub, the location of this hotel is grand. The bar downstairs is extremely welcoming and the food was decent. The rooms are immaculately decorated in a contemporary style, and very comfortable, with pleasant views over the rear garden towards the river Thames.

All in all, this hotel was more than satisfactory.

The Great House at Sonning boasts a fantastic riverside location, perfect for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The rooms are beautifully designed and the comfortable king-sized beds ensure a good night's sleep. I particularly enjoyed the well-equipped bathrooms and the stunning views from the balconies. The breakfast offered a delightful variety of options, including healthy choices, and the food was cooked to perfection.

The Coach House Suite in this hotel offers a great location, just a short walk away from the Mill Theatre. Guests can enjoy idyllic restful stays in a beautiful setting beside the Thames, with ample opportunities for scenic walks. The room itself is fantastic, with high-class amenities and a fantastic shower. The hotel is clean and classy, providing excellent service and a great breakfast. Guests can also enjoy the view of the river.

There was a slight issue with the bathroom plumbing, as the cistern constantly refilled, causing some noise disturbance.

The Great House At Sonning is perfectly located next to Sonning Bridge, offering a picturesque setting for evening strolls along the Thames. We loved the short walk over the bridge to the Sonning Mill theatre, making it an ideal base for theater enthusiasts.

While the overall experience was fantastic, it would have been even better if the menu in the restaurant had more frequent changes to offer a greater variety of options.

The hotel is located in a prime location near lovely riverside activities and with easy access to local transportation. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast and free WiFi with fast connections. The view from our room was stunning, overlooking the city and nearby attractions. A nice touch!

The room was a bit cramped for its executive rating and it would have been better if they allocated priority parking for hotel guests. it was a bit disappointing that some TV channels were inaccessible, so we couldn't unwind with a movie after a long day of sightseeing.

Comfortable beds and fab en-suite with a nice shower.- The staff were great and helpful, from the concierge who took our belongings to the room, to the attentive service at dinner.- Explored the beautiful village of Sonning and enjoyed the impressive church and the Bull Inn.- The food was delicious, especially the creamy cauliflower soup and the belly pork.- The service was brilliant, the staff were a credit to the hotel.

Not all rooms had the promised river view. The restaurant was very busy, resulting in a long wait to order and be served.

The hotel even provided a cot for my baby and thoughtfully included blackout curtains and a fan to ensure a peaceful sleep. One highlight was the cinema room, where I could have a cozy night in watching films while my little one slept soundly in the next room. The attention to detail in the decor and extra touches made my stay truly special. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and luxurious experience.
