The value for money at King's Head was excellent, with a cozy and warm single room that was perfect after a long day of hiking. The location was amazing, so close to the beautiful lake and surrounded by sheep and hills. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

The morning meal could have been improved with a wider variety of gluten-free options.

I recently stayed at The King's Head for 4 nights and it was fantastic. The hotel is located in a charming leak district and offers breathtaking views of fields and hills. The warm and friendly atmosphere, excellent food at the bar and restaurant , and good beer made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the manager, Peter, was particularly helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is also conveniently situated close to Thirlmere water, with plenty of good walks nearby. a lovely hotel with great amenities and a perfect location.

Convenient location for exploring Thirlmere with nearby walking trails. Bus stop outside for easy access to Keswick and Grasmere. Great views and comfortable rooms. Impressive breakfast selection. Hardworking and friendly staff.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. the staff were excellent - friendly, efficient, and welcoming. They made sure that all my needs were met throughout my stay. Secondly, the rooms were newly refurbished with modern decor and offered great views. I particularly enjoyed the attention to detail and the comfortable ambiance. Finally, the breakfast served by Peter was superb and the views of the mountains added to the overall experience. This hotel offers great value for money and is located in a beautiful valley, perfect for exploring the surrounding areas of the Lake District.

The supposed dog-friendly policy was a disappointment. Despite claiming to be dog-friendly, none of the staff showed any interest in our furry friends.

We had a fantastic stay at a charming inn in the heart of the Lake District. The location was perfect, right on the main road, allowing us to easily explore the surrounding hiking areas. And being just across the road from the lake was a treat! The room was modern and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. The staff provided excellent service, ensuring we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

We did notice that the bar area could get quite busy and it was sometimes difficult to find a seat.

The staff were extremely polite and helpful, the gardens were immaculate and the food was tasty with large portions. The host and the girl in the bar couldn't be faulted. The room and location were lovely, with a nice sitting area and a delicious breakfast. The staff were excellent and showed me to a room with a beautiful view and a huge bed. Breakfast had a good selection and the staff were very accommodating. Thank you for an amazing stay.

The room at The King's Head was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It may have been small, but it had a lovely view and a cozy bed. The toiletries provided were a nice touch. The bar area was spacious and the food was outstanding. The bar staff were efficient, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was perfect, although the bread could have been better quality.
