The walls in the rooms are quite thin, so noise from neighboring rooms can be heard.

The location of this inn is absolutely stunning, surrounded by the natural beauty of the New Forest. We were able to enjoy lovely walks and hikes right from our doorstep. The rooms may have been a bit on the warm side, but they were clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious homemade food served at the pub. it was a great base for our trekking adventures and a pleasant stay.

We had a true New Forest accommodation experience at the Inn. The location was perfect, surrounded by wildlife and close to the forest. The rooms were quaint, and we enjoyed the lovely walk in the afternoon where we saw rabbits, deer, and ponies. The staff were welcoming and professional, and they even accommodated our attention-seeking pup. Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection of vegetarian options. The room was well-maintained, with daily tidying and tea/coffee replenishment.

The location of this inn was absolutely amazing! Right in the heart of the Forest, we could easily access beautiful walks, a deer park, the Beaulieu Motor Museum, Buckler's Hard. It was perfect for adults like us who wanted to explore and enjoy nature. The food at the inn was a highlight of our stay. We tried different dishes each night and they were all delicious. The staff, especially Izabel and Rob, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. a fantastic place to stay!

During our Easter stay, we enjoyed the friendly and welcoming staff who provided excellent service. The location was a real highlight, nestled in a beautiful lane with ponies trotting past. It truly captured the charm of the New Forest. the food at the evening restaurant was a standout. The meals were beautifully cooked, extremely tasty, and generously portioned. We especially loved the gammon steaks, ham with honey and mustard, and the pulled pork burger. The dessert selection was also impressive, with the new forest ice cream and Peach Melba Sundae being absolute delights.

There were a few drawbacks to our stay. It caused confusion and made planning for the trip more difficult.

We recently stayed at a charming inn near the New Forest. The breakfast options were plentiful and the food was excellent. We were impressed by the local beers on tap and the outstanding gastro pub menu. The staff, including the accommodating manager, Rob, and the friendly housekeeper, Violette, were exceptional. We also loved the convenient location near trail heads into the New Forest and the shops and restaurants in downtown Lyndhurst. The room was cozy and the luxurious toiletries were a pleasant surprise. it was a wonderful anniversary stay and we're already planning to return.
