The Old Smithy Inn was well worth the money - great value for what we got. The room was incredibly comfortable, with its unique cave-like feel and cozy amenities. The location was fantastic, nestled in a beautiful village and within walking distance to the stunning Welcombe Mouth Beach. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and accommodated throughout our stay.

More variety in breakfast choices would have made it even better.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was really clean and had lovely linen and furnishings. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even offered breakfast in one of the garden greenhouse pods, which was a unique and enjoyable experience. The breakfast itself was excellent, with a full English included in the price. The hotel facilities were great, and I particularly liked the old pub where I had dinner both nights. The menu offered a mix of traditional pub grub and other tasty dishes. The atmosphere in the pub was really nice, and I can imagine that the garden would be amazing to sit in during the summer.

stayed in welcombe before but old smithy inn exceeded expectations. good food, very clean spacious room, and friendly owner committed to supporting local community. highly recommended.

The value for money at the Old Smithy Inn was excellent - we got a comfortable and well-decorated room with a beautiful new spacious bathroom. The location was also great, with a lovely ambiance around the inn and the convenience of having meals on the property. The staff were friendly and down to earth, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Breakfast choices could be improved by offering a wider variety of options.

Stayed in The Nook at this lovely inn and it was the cosiest place we've ever stayed. The room had beautiful linen and furnishings, a restful sea view, and amazing underfloor heating in the shower room. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering fresh coffee in the room and breakfast in one of the garden greenhouse pods. It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the garden, even when it rained.

There was nothing I didn't like about my stay at The Old Smithy Inn. 😊
