During our Christmas stay, we enjoyed the fact that the hotel provided fresh milk for our tea and coffee upon request at the bar. the separate entrance of the room from the main pub was also a plus, offering privacy and convenience. we were delighted by the beautiful location of the hotel, with its proximity to fields and a wildlife rescue.

The lack of a fan in the room made our stay uncomfortable on a hot night, as we couldn't open the window due to noise from the busy road. We also encountered some issues with cleanliness, as we found old dust behind the bedside cabinet.

The staff at Red Lion were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find a delicious vegetarian breakfast on the menu, cooked to perfection. Additionally, the food at the pub was fantastic, with a great selection to choose from. The room was clean and had all the necessary facilities.

Warm welcome, hassle-free check-in, well-kept real ales, impressive food menu, varied breakfast options.

The rooms are clean and comfortable with a lovely bed. The service provided by the staff is excellent, and the breakfast is delicious and served quickly. There is a bar with a good selection of real ales and branded beers. The ambience in the bar and restaurant area is warm and comfortable.

The seating options may not be ideal if you have a dog with you.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, and the room was spacious and clean. The location was great, with a beer garden nearby and an animal sanctuary next door that the kids loved. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The breakfast selection could be improved by adding more variety or options.

I recently had a very good stay in a charming hotel located in a lovely village called Newburgh. The hotel was in a picturesque location and was within easy reach of where I needed to be. The service at this hotel was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff. The basic amenities were provided, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a room with two comfy single beds. The room also had a walk-in shower, which was a nice touch. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast served promptly at 9 on a Sunday morning. It was inclusive of the price and was served by a lovely waitress. Coffee and tea were constantly replenished during the service, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

All was great, nothing to complain about.

I had a fantastic stay at Red Lion in Wigan! The room was spacious and well-decorated, with plenty of pillows for a comfortable night's sleep. The shower was powerful and refreshing. The breakfast menu had a good variety of options, although it would have been helpful to have an updated menu in the room. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Despite a minor draughty gap in the door, the heating system worked excellently to keep the room warm. I had a great experience and would recommend this hotel.

The staff were polite and offered complementary tea and coffee. the hotel is situated next to a useful train station, which connects you directly with other cities. the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable.

The shower had poor water pressure and the temperature was inconsistent. the WiFi was also incredibly slow which made it difficult to conduct work.

As foreign tourists, we loved the homely and cosy atmosphere of the Red Lion. The seating areas were fab with a fire burner, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the evening. The hotel rooms were clean, tidy, and super cosy, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, making our experience even better. The breakfast included in the price was big, fabulous, and highly recommended. Great value for money!

Felt at home, no complaints whatsoever.

The location of the hotel is great as it is close to the Leeds Liverpool canal and away from busy areas. It is also conveniently situated between the places we wanted to visit, making it ideal for us backpackers. The rooms are nice, warm, and clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff provide friendly service and the breakfast is delicious, with limited but good options. The hotel also offers free buffet and a late bar with a DJ, perfect for a fun night.

The check-in process could be improved as the communication about the car park and entrance was confusing and inconvenient.

The room was comfortable and warm, with excellent tea and coffee facilities and a handy hairdryer. the location was perfect, close to the motorway and convenient for a quick overnight stop. Plus, the staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable.

The room had very little natural light, making it quite dark. the fixed shower was too low for taller individuals, which was a bit inconvenient.
