The Rose & Crown is a lovely pub located near the Ridgeway, perfect for those wanting to be close to beautiful countryside and striking views. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, with nice furnishings and a long mirror. The staff were friendly and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. They even sell Arkell's craft Lager, which is a pleasant surprise. The pub also offers a quiet outdoor covered seating area, perfect for relaxing. Plus, it's conveniently located near the Uffington White Horse.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The pub downstairs was amazing, offering a great selection of drinks and delicious meals. We were thrilled that the chef was able to accommodate our vegan diet and prepared a wonderful vegan meal for us. The staff were incredibly friendly and had excellent local knowledge, which they happily shared with us. We felt well taken care of by the lovely housekeeping staff. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding, and our room was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we needed, including a tea/coffee making facility.

The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, although I must admit that I overate and couldn't move afterwards! The breakfast had a good variety to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Rose & Crown! The English breakfast was excellent, with perfectly cooked fresh produce. The staff and owner were extremely nice and made us feel at home. Our room was large and comfortable, with a very spacious bed. The parking facility was good too.

Perfect location for my business trip, on the King Alfred Cycle Way. Loved the local pub with its friendly and welcoming vibe, great for meeting locals. Gorgeous countryside views from the rooms, a true retreat from the city.

When I arrived at the hotel after a long day of work, they couldn't accommodate me for dinner even though I had called ahead to let them know I would be late. They could have at least offered a hot meal instead of a cold supper.

The bed was incredibly comfy, and the shower was amazing. the room was beautifully decorated and created a relaxing atmosphere. the dinner at the restaurant was faultless, with delicious dishes like potted pheasant and Welsh rarebit. the portions were generous, and the dessert, chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake, was a must-try. the staff, especially Rachel and Dan, were friendly and welcoming. the full English breakfast was a tasty start to the day. the value for money was outstanding, and after a long day, the comfort was greatly appreciated.
