the inn is as cold as a refrigerator, missing that roasty warmth one would expect. waiting half an hour for our room while hovering around reception was absolutely delightful too, nothing like feeling completely unwelcomed. perhaps my repeated requests for a complimentary upgrade on arrival wouldve made it a tad better, but I guess that’s too much to ask.

the setting is beautiful, and the property grounds are charming. the bar area feels unwelcoming at first.

The stunning village ambiance mixed with warm staff interactions made our weekend wonderful. Breakfast choices were delightful, especially those hearty English options, which set a perfect tone for the day.

However, my room was sweltering during the night with no fan provided until requested. The dining experience also fell short at times, especially with slow service and smaller portions than expected.

Consider taking a scenic walk to Bourton-on-the-Water, just under 2 km away. it offers stunning views and lovely garden strolls.

We had a lovely two-night stay in a spacious room overlooking the gardens. The location is ideal for exploring nearby Bourton-on-the-Water, just a short walk away, and we enjoyed the charming atmosphere in the evenings. Definitely check out the cozy grounds with the log fires for a special touch.

My weekend getaway was enhanced by the stunning Upper Slaughter Manor being less than a 5-minute walk away and the tranquil Parish Church of St Mary just a short stroll away, providing a lovely backdrop for my explorations. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay all the more relaxing and enjoyable as I basked in the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by beautiful grounds.

Would recommend for a weekend adventure.

Beautiful room, beautiful grounds, featuring modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and electric kettle, and the location is perfect for exploring the nearby charming village, just a short walk from a scenic station.

The room we had was super spacious with comfy chairs and this amazing view over the gardens. The brekkie was lekker, so many choices, and that lemon sole for dinner? Absolutely to die for! Staff were just brilliant, very friendly and attentive throughout.

The noise disturbances from neighboring rooms can be bothersome!!! It’s disheartening when you can’t sleep due to loud guests!!! Inconsistencies in room conditions compared to promotional images can leave one feeling let down!!! !!! Could perhaps improve the heating in rooms!!!

i had a nice weekend exploring the area, with the beautiful bourton on the water just under 2 km away, and even closer, less than a 5-minute walk, to the upper slaughter manor, which offered stunning views and lovely garden strolls.

The stay was pleasant. The location was beautiful. The room was basic but comfortable, and the spacious bathroom was a nice touch with a roll-top bath. I expected more considering the price, especially for a Friday night. The full English breakfast was lacking, and my experience with the cold filter coffee didn't match my expectations. I enjoyed the warmth of the welcome at reception. It was definitely a change from my usual European lodgings.

The staff were so attentive and friendly. they really made the experience special! ! The grounds are stunning and peaceful. imagine sitting outside by the big log fires on a chilly day. The breakfast selection was fantastic too, especially the hearty English options. Clean rooms and spacious areas made it a perfect getaway!
