We had a delightful stay at a charming country retreat in Coleford. The historical 17th century hunting lodge provided a grand and comfortable atmosphere. Our spacious double room in the courtyard was quiet and well-equipped with TV, a large comfortable bed, and a luxurious bathroom. The service and attention to detail were faultless, and the breakfast in the Verderers room was a generous spread of delicious options. The courtyard rooms were great value for money, and the location was perfect for exploring the area by bike or on foot. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Coleford.

Our stay at The Speech House was perfect. The room with a four-poster bed was beautiful and worth the price. The location in the Forest of Dean allowed for lovely walks right from the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

The only thing that could have made breakfast better was the food selection.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in the Forest of Dean. The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by stunning natural surroundings. The room I stayed in was spacious and had a lovely four poster bed, adding a touch of elegance to my stay. The basic amenities provided, including a decent sized wall-mounted TV, were just what I needed. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Stayed here for Christmas and it was a warm and cozy experience. The buffet style breakfast had plenty of delicious food options and there was also a wonderful arboretum nearby. The service staff were friendly and attentive.

The WiFi was only accessible in the main reception and lounge areas, which was a downside for us. the dining/bar prices were quite high.

The Speech House Hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. the location was absolutely stunning, nestled right in the heart of the Forest of Dean. We were surrounded by beautiful surroundings, perfect for long walks and relaxing in the gardens. Secondly, the staff at the hotel were outstanding. From the warm welcome we received upon arrival to the friendly and helpful service throughout our stay, they really went above and beyond. The attention to detail and the level of care shown by the staff was impressive. Lastly, our room was fantastic. We were lucky enough to stay in a room with a four-poster bed, which was not only extremely comfortable but also added a touch of elegance to our stay. With a decent-sized wall-mounted TV, we were able to wind down after a day of exploring. Plus, having breakfast included in our stay was a great way to start each day.
