Had a great Christmas stay at this hotel. The room was clean and cozy, with comfortable bed and extra blanket. The shower was nice with good water pressure. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The location by the river was beautiful and there was a nice car park for guests. The evening meal downstairs was delicious. Breakfast options were good with friendly staff.

One minor issue was a slight draught around a window and a problem with the radiator. , the door into the restaurant from the car park was directly below our room and made a banging noise every time it was used.

The free parking made it convenient for me to explore the area.

Our stay at The Stag On The River was exceptional. We had an excellent meal in a beautiful setting next to the river, which made it even more special as we were meeting our family after a long time. The location was perfect, with easy access from the A3 and ample parking. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that our dining experience was perfect. It was a truly memorable stay, and we will definitely be back to eat and drink at The Stag On The River again soon.
