It also proved to be convenient for attending a wedding at the nearby Redhouse barn.

We also received a warm welcome at the front desk, and all the staff throughout our stay were friendly and helpful. The barman provided top service with a genuine smile, and we enjoyed the scrumptious breakfast. The hotel has an attractive ambience, and the rooms are lovely with comfortable beds. The food was truly outstanding, and the service was great.

Wifi was spotty.

From the moment we arrived till the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. We stayed in Room 3, which was exactly what I had imagined for my partner's birthday evening. It was lovely and modern, with clean white fresh towels and an excellent large shower. The staff at Vernon were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and we slept like logs. Waking up to a full English breakfast was a delightful surprise. The food at Vernon was fantastic. We had a lovely 3-course meal, and the breakfast was also very good. All in all, our stay at Vernon was a perfect 10/10.

Although there was some noise from revellers in the pub below, the staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. The room, though small, was clean and modern with a good ensuite bathroom featuring a waterfall shower. The breakfast was excellent, with freshly cooked hot options. The restaurant offered a variety of gourmet and gastropub dishes, and the seafood paella was particularly tasty. The location, right opposite a crossroads and near the M5 motorway, made it convenient for exploring the area.

One minor quibble was that the bathroom plumbing was a little erratic, with low water pressure at times and a slow-filling toilet cistern.
