my recent romantic trip to newcastle-under-lyme was made even better by my stay at the victoria. the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. the location was also convenient, with walking distance to town and a music venue. i will definitely stay here again on future trips to newcastle!

Wifi a bit slow

During my Easter stay, I absolutely loved the spacious and beautifully decorated room. the modern fittings, comfortable bed, and fabulous ensuite made it a perfect 10 out of 10 experience. I also appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who made our stay even more enjoyable. the convenient location of the hotel near local town cafés, pubs, and restaurants was a great advantage.

There were a couple of aspects that could have been better. the hot water for the shower was not as hot as I would have liked, possibly due to a safety catch, but it would have been nice to have a hotter shower.

I recently stayed at a charming British inn in a central location. The pub downstairs was bustling and friendly, making me feel right at home. It was conveniently close to the centre, making it easy to explore the local restaurants of Newcastle. The room was clean and comfortable, with a super comfy bed and great water pressure in the bathroom. I also enjoyed the attentive service and the fact that the staff knew me by name. it was a lovely experience.

That there was some noise from the pub in the evenings, but it quieted down promptly at closing time.

We had a great stay at this hotel with our children. The location was perfect, with the pub downstairs being very popular with locals. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. The staff provided a generous supply of tea, coffee, and biscuits. the off-street parking was very convenient for us.

We were disappointed to find out that there was no breakfast facility available during our stay.

Great welcome and good staff. the pub had a good selection of real ale and cider which was comfortable and felt just like an old-fashioned local pub. the room size was reasonable and the bed was comfortable with good quality bed linen. the bathroom was good and very clean with a nice selection of toiletries.

The shower simply didn't work properly. the hot water was scalding hot and the cold water pressure was so low that it was almost impossible to have a shower.

Despite being above a pub, there was no noise disturbance in the room, not even traffic. It was a convenient and easy stop for my travels.

The back entrance was not ideal, especially in poor weather conditions or for those who may have had a few drinks. The metal steps outside could be slippery and potentially dangerous.

My stay at Victoria exceeded all expectations. The staff, especially Gary, provided exceptional customer service from check-in to check-out. The entire property was spotless, and the bar downstairs, along with the beer garden, added to the enjoyable experience.
