I had a wonderful time at a charming hotel steeped in history. The hotel's location in the old part of town near the harbor was perfect for exploring. The well-maintained, albeit slightly aged, interior added character to the spacious rooms. I was fascinated by the hotel's past associations with Thomas Hardy and Guy Gibson, giving it a unique charm that I haven't experienced elsewhere. The hotel's size boasted numerous amenities such as a bar, lounge, restaurant, and breakfast room. The restaurant offered a diverse menu and I enjoyed the option to mix restaurant-style dishes with pub-grub. The bar had an impressive selection of beers and wines, while the large garden area provided a delightful atmosphere. The hotel's friendly and efficient staff further enhanced my stay.

While my stay was delightful, there were a few minor drawbacks. The rickety windows caused some disturbance during windy weather.

As women traveling alone, we appreciated the pet-friendly policy, with amenities like a dog bowl, bed, and bone provided. The staff were excellent and hardworking, making us feel welcome. The food, especially the evening meal and breakfast, was top-notch. The location in beautiful Boscastle added to the charm.

The Wellington Hotel offers a fantastic range of local ales and ciders, perfect for winding down after a long day. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home. The recently converted mill, where our suite was located, was beautifully decorated with modern amenities and lots of character. The spacious room and huge bed made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The food at the hotel was top-notch, with plenty of choices for breakfast and excellent dinner options. On-site parking is plentiful, and the location is surrounded by charming cafes, restaurants, and takeaways. The hotel is also great for families, with separate rooms for kids and plenty of great coastal walks to explore.

The breakfast, served by a charming caring waitress, was delicious and had a beautiful view.

That the water pressure in the third-floor shower was a bit weak.

We did have some noise disturbances from barking dogs in a neighboring apartment, which was a minor inconvenience.
