I had a pleasant stay at a hotel close to the banks of the River Severn. The room I stayed in was lovely, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom had a state-of-the-art jacuzzi bath with an overhead shower, perfect for a nice hot soak. The location was quiet and secluded, yet conveniently close to the canal and major roads. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a comfortable experience. The hotel also provided great amenities like an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, and coffee machine in the rooms.

That the breakfast options were limited, and the staff were a bit inconvenienced when asked for juice.

The Mooring Post is located in a great area near the River Severn, providing a tranquil and quiet environment. The rooms are comfortable and clean with a private garden area. The staff is helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay. A highlight is the Lock Keepers restaurant, offering delicious and reasonably priced food. There are also various places nearby where you can sit, have a drink, and enjoy a chat. the location and amenities make for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

One aspect that could be improved is the cleanliness around the parking area, as it seems to be frequented by dog walkers who don't clean up after their pets.

I really appreciated the personal approach from the staff at Mooring Post Bed & Breakfast. They were informal and made me feel right at home. I also loved that they prioritize dogs and even had a doggie treat bag. The restaurant food was exceptional, with a fresh, simple menu that was well-priced and expertly cooked.

The hotel's location near the canal basin was perfect for enjoying walks by the river and into the city. The bistro pub and patio were brilliant and provided a lovely atmosphere. The hotel facilities were excellent, with some great little touches and a pleasant surrounding canal walk area. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The location of this hotel is superb. It is close enough to Gloucester to enjoy the city, but far enough out to be a quiet and peaceful location. You can easily walk to Gloucester via a country park or along the canals. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service. The rooms are clean and spacious, with comfortable beds. The bathroom in my room had a spacious spa bath that was perfect for relaxing. Breakfast on the patio was delightful, with a fantastic variety of food options to choose from.

One staff member let the team down by being openly rude to another staff member.

Had a great weekend! the family room was perfect for us, with two separate bedrooms and a hallway with a TV. the food was amazing, locally sourced and cooked to perfection. the staff were very helpful and even gave us a map with directions to an interesting walk along the canal. the terrace outside was the best spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
