Located in a peaceful area, this hotel offers a great location just one street away from the main shopping street. The rooms are nicely decorated and have clean bathrooms with White company products. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, and the breakfast is good. Guests can enjoy complimentary tea and coffee in their rooms, as well as other nice touches like shower gels and a comfortable bed.

I was impressed by this venue's location in the very heart of the city centre and just opposite a famous historical landmark. The staff were very knowledgeable about the area and were always willing to help me plan my day trips. The service was exceptional, with a warm welcome drink and room service. The hotel room was very comfortable, complete with tea and coffee facilities, a safe, and a sitting area to relax in. The outdoor patio with garden furniture was an added bonus, creating a lovely atmosphere to enjoy breakfast.

Highly recommended for families, this hotel is a great choice for a city break.

I recently stayed at Vanbrugh House for a weekend getaway. The hotel's location, right across from the Oxford Union, couldn't have been better. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, with a nice touch of a mini-bar. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to cater to my needs. The bathroom was impressive, with a lovely shower and luxurious bath. The complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries were a delightful surprise. a lovely hotel with great amenities and excellent service.

Great location for what we needed - easy to walk from the station and minutes from the town centre. Comfortable room with its own small terrace. Possible to sit outside in the warmer weather. Very friendly staff, extremely helpful. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Smart TV's for entertainment.

Had a delightful lunch at this hidden gem in Oxford. The 3-course meal for £13.95 was a steal! The menu offered a great variety and the portions were just right. The talented chef definitely knows their way around the kitchen. We enjoyed our meal in the lovely courtyard at the back of the hotel. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service, even amidst some construction noise. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

I especially appreciated their assistance in finding vegetarian options for breakfast. The room was quiet and well-decorated, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Oxford's sights. Although the hotel didn't have its own parking, the receptionist helped me find nearby public parking. It was a bit pricey, but worth it for the convenience. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I would definitely recommend Vanbrugh House for a delightful stay in Oxford. I had a fantastic experience and would happily return in the future.
