The hotel itself felt a bit outdated and in need of renovation. the room I stayed in was small and had malfunctioning amenities like a toilet that didn't flush properly and a shower with low water pressure.

My friend and I were traveling on our motorbikes and the Waverley Hotel went out of their way to accommodate us. The staff were all lovely, the hotel was clean, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. They even let us park our bikes in their secure yard, which gave us peace of mind. The location was great, just a few minutes' walk from the railway station, and there were plenty of local shops and bars nearby. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options to choose from.

I was fortunate enough to receive a complimentary upgrade, which was a welcome surprise after a long bike ride. the bar provided a cozy atmosphere for enjoying a pint and a tasty meal. Breakfast was a self-service buffet and it was perfect. I also appreciated the secure and hidden bike storage provided by the hotel.
