The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the convenience of having plenty of showers and toilets available. The facilities were excellent, with a bar/lounge area where I could relax after a long day of exploring. the service provided by the staff was top-notch.

The window in our room didn't open very much, which made it slightly challenging to cool down, especially in February. Additionally, finding parking could be an issue in high season, so it's important to plan accordingly.

We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location was a dream come true, just a two-minute walk from the town center. We were thrilled to find ourselves by the river, enjoying the soothing sound of flowing water as we drifted off to sleep. And waking up to the breathtaking views of Skiddaw and the surrounding hills was truly a treat. The convenience of being in the town center meant that we had countless options for bars and places to eat right at our doorstep. We particularly enjoyed the Dog & Gun, Square Orange, Bar 26, Baa Baa, and the Pack Horse for both delicious food and great beers. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.

We had an amazing time staying in the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the park and fells behind. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We especially loved sitting by the stream and the cafe on the doorstep was a real bonus.

That there was no free tea available which was a bit of a bummer, but otherwise, everything was great. it would have been better if they sold earplugs at the counter, as the noise level from other guests could be a bit disruptive during the night.
