Great location with excellent views. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Spacious room with a small table, perfect for families. The breakfast was great value for money and plentiful.

Not suitable for people who struggle with steps. The accommodation was a bit pricey for just the basics provided, but it did meet our basic requirements.

We got amazing value for our money with a clean and spacious dorm room, including a private toilet and shower. The location was stunning, right next to the ruins of the Abbey, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, with stunning views of the surrounding area. The room and facilities were decent and clean, providing a comfortable stay.- I particularly enjoyed the great shower and the free table football.

My stay was marred by the inconsiderate and noisy neighbors who arrived late at night and shouted across the corridor. The bunk bed mattress was not very comfortable, which affected my sleep quality.

Our family had a great Thanksgiving break at this hostel. The warm welcome and friendly staff made us feel at home. The location is perfect for exploring the town and nearby attractions. We loved the large garden where we played outdoor games in the evenings. The self-catering kitchen was well-equipped with fridges and freezers to store our food.

The hostel could benefit from some cosmetic updates, such as fresh paint and modern cutlery. The furniture in our room looked a bit dated and was not arranged efficiently, making it slightly uncomfortable.

I recently stayed at YHA Whitby for a walking trip with friends. The location is amazing, right next to Whitby Abbey, with a stunning view from our room. The gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the views. The YHA provided us with a last-minute room for four at a great price, and the ensuite was clean and modern. The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely amazing, situated at the top of the hill next to a stunning Abbey. The views of the lake and the surrounding area were breathtaking. The hotel itself was luxurious, providing enhanced comfort and quality services. The room was clean and cozy, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and even offered me a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival. The shared kitchen and dining area were convenient, and the restaurant and bar/lounge area provided delicious meals and a relaxing atmosphere. The leisure garden area was a great place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel also offered free Wi-Fi in public areas, which was a bonus.

I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

Located in a prime spot, close to all the Whitby attractions and the town center, YHA Whitby is in a convenient and central location. Guests can easily explore the sights and enjoy the bustling atmosphere just a short walk away. The hostel offers comfortable rooms and helpful staff, ensuring a pleasant stay. The stunning views of the Abbey from the conservatory and the well-equipped kitchen are some of the great facilities provided. The friendly staff is always ready to assist guests, making the experience even more enjoyable.

There were some minor cleanliness issues that could be improved upon.

The bunk beds were surprisingly comfortable, and the shared bathroom had a lovely hot bath which was perfect after a day of cycling. The self catering kitchen was well equipped and clean, and the conservatory and Georgian lounge provided cozy spaces to relax. The historical explanations around the hostel were interesting, and the receptionist gave us excellent recommendations for things to do in Whitby. we had a comfortable stay in a great location.

Our room at YHA Whitby was spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with a helpful walking map of the area. The hostel's location allowed us to easily explore the city and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend this place for a great stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel for just £20 a night! The value was incredible, especially with the free entry to Whitby Abbey, saving me £10. The staff were friendly and the check-in process was fuss-free. I stayed in a bunk bed room in the girls' dorm which had its own shower and toilet. I rented a towel for £2 and even borrowed the hairdryer. The bottomless breakfast for £5.95 was excellent, and I enjoyed the view over Whitby harbour. The hostel is well-equipped with a microwave, cooker, fridges, and freezer, making self-catering easy. I highly recommend stocking up on food from the local co-op and having dinner in the conservatory dining area, which offers the best and cheapest view of the abbey ruins in town. I stayed for two nights and was able to leave my luggage, allowing me to explore Whitby without carrying a heavy backpack on the third day. As a female solo traveler, I felt very safe with the secure entry system and the presence of other people. The gardens were stunning and the views of the harbor were amazing. I had a great experience at this hostel.

There was a slight smell in the shower room, possibly due to a drain issue. Additionally, the check-in process was a bit confusing as it was located within the cafe and the signage was not easily visible.
