A stay at this fabulous hotel was a wonderful experience. the building is truly impressive, rivaling the Frontenac hotel in Quebec City. Surprisingly, the price per room was only 160 E, making it a great value. the location is perfect, right across from the beach of the River Plate in Carrasco. the old art nouveau Casino has been beautifully refurbished, adding to the charm of the setting. the staff at the hotel were multilingual, efficient, and charming. the comfortable bed and river view made for a perfect stay. the abundant breakfast made lunch unnecessary, and the French restaurant offered a fine example of modern French cuisine. the gym, spa, and massage services were all top-notch. the outdoor pool, set in a lovely garden, provided a relaxing spot to sunbathe. a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend break.

The hotel is beautifully situated right on the beach of the Rio de la Plata, offering stunning views of the ocean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with luxurious touches like Hermes bath products. The breakfast served in the rotunda is top-notch, with a standout charcuterie selection. Additionally, the staff is friendly, helpful, and multilingual.

The lack of a separate cocktail bar exclusive to hotel guests is a minor inconvenience.

As trekkers and group of friends, we loved the stunning location across from the beach and the beautiful art nouveau setting of the refurbished casino. The staff were efficient, charming, and multilingual. The comfortable beds and perfect river view were highlights. The abundant breakfast made lunch unnecessary and the French restaurant offered delicious modern French cuisine. The gym and spa were excellent, with friendly and efficient staff. The massage was wonderful. The outdoor pool was situated in a large garden with plenty of loungers for relaxation and sunbathing.

Staying at this hotel was an absolutely luxurious experience. the exclusive amenities provided in the room were exceptional, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. the service was superb, exemplified by the helpful and attentive staff. the Spa and wellness centre provided a variety of services that were relaxing and rejuvenating. the indoor and outdoor swimming pools were both stunning and well-maintained. the amazing garden area was a perfect place for enjoying the beautiful scenery and the library was a cozy place for a peaceful afternoon.

Fantastic Stay at Sofitel!

We were mesmerized by the European palace-like exterior of the hotel. Walking into the lobby, we were greeted by a stunning stained glass ceiling and unique Christmas tree. The attention to detail, like horse statues with lamps and small folk-art paintings, was delightful.

Our Thanksgiving stay was fantastic! We received a complimentary drink on arrival and a lovely fruit basket in our spacious room. the location was perfect with plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes. We loved the view of the nearby beach and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

The casino, which had a limited selection of games and was not very inviting.
