The breakfast at Lumberjack next door was exceptional, better than most Best Western lobby breakfasts. The room was clean and spacious, with two queen beds and a partitioned area with a couch. The shower had great amenities, and the staff was accommodating and helpful. The hotel also offered a complimentary full breakfast at a nearby restaurant.

The hotel's strategic location allowed us to explore nearby attractions like scenic drives and local eating places. Moreover, the complimentary breakfast at the restaurant next door was a valuable addition to our stay, especially since we enjoyed delicious meals without overspending.

Our stay wasn't perfect. Despite the nice room, bathroom space was limited, and we had to deal with ants in the bathroom. The pool wasn't filled, which was disappointing for my son, who wanted to swim. Also, the walking space for dogs was constricted. Finally, the price was slightly over our budget; we felt like we paid more than what we got during our Christmas stay.

The hotel was clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to stay in Susanville. The rooms were spacious and had a cozy feel with the addition of a sitting couch, chairs, and a table. I appreciated the attention to detail in the nicely set bathroom and kitchen area. Additionally, the location of my room toward the back of the hotel ensured a peaceful stay.

While the hotel had many positive aspects, there were a few drawbacks. The noise from the main street could be heard in my room, which slightly affected the overall tranquility.

Despite the recommendation of two King rooms, we opted for one room with two queen beds and were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness, including a partitioned area with a couch. The room was impeccably clean and provided a relaxing haven after a long drive. The staff were extremely accommodating and the complimentary breakfast at the on-site restaurant was a great perk.

We had a pleasant stay at Surestay Plus Hotel. Our updated and spacious room was clean and had comfortable beds. The AC was a lifesaver in the hot weather. The hotel's location near the fairgrounds was convenient and within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast at the nearby restaurant, Lumberjacks, was fantastic, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. The restaurant staff provided excellent service. we enjoyed our stay and wish we had tried the restaurant for dinner as well.
