I recently stayed at the charming lodge in Alpena for a couple of nights. The location was perfect, just across the street from the serene lake. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the beds were incredibly soft and comfortable. The room had a microwave and refrigerator, which was a nice convenience. The hosts were friendly and helpful, providing us with information on local attractions and dining options. The breakfast selection was impressive, with a variety of delicious breads, fruits, cereals, and even microwave pancakes. I enjoyed walking on the beach and chatting with other friendly guests. a delightful and enjoyable stay!

We had a great weekend at Big Bear Lodge. The owner/operators were friendly and helpful, even accommodating special dietary needs for another guest. The breakfast was delicious and available until 11:00 a.m. They also provided plenty of information on local attractions. The family suite we stayed in was perfect for us, with a kitchen and close proximity to a park and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

A charming Mom & Pop lodge with delightful owners. Enjoyed the garden, terrace, and playground. The area offered plenty of activities and beautiful natural parks.

The owners were incredibly welcoming and took the time to show us to our room. They even went out of their way to help us when we had trouble with our motorcycle. the breakfast at the lodge was delicious, with a great selection of breads, fruits, and cereals available. the hosts made sure we knew how to use the microwave, and there were even extra blankets and pillows in the closet. the location of the lodge was perfect, right across the street from the beach, and the owners gave us recommendations on what to do and where to eat in Alpena. the atmosphere was so friendly, with other guests being chatty and welcoming. it was a wonderful visit!

We got amazing value for our money and the room was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was great, right across from a park with a beautiful view of Lake Huron. The staff at Big Bear Lodge were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better was if there were more options available.

The lodge had a convenient location, close to Lake Huron and within walking distance of Mango's Mexican restaurant. The room was small but had everything we needed for a nice weekend. The breakfast options were better than expected, with a variety of hot and cold choices. The room and the entire lodge were spotlessly clean. They were also accommodating with allowing us to bring our bikes inside.

The room was smaller than expected, but it was comfortable and had everything I needed. The bed, although a bit lumpy, provided a good night's sleep. The owners were attentive and took pride in the property, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. The breakfast was not the best, but it was sufficient to start the day.

The rooms were very small, especially for three people. Limited closet space, tiny bathroom, and cramped shower area.
