Staying at The Big Texan motel was a breeze during my transit in Amarillo. The convenience of being just 5 km from the nearest airport made my travel logistics a lot smoother, allowing me to rest and recharge before my next journey. The free WiFi and comfortable amenities in the air-conditioned rooms made my short stay stress-free, and the unique touch of the cow horn sofa in the sitting area added a fun and memorable element to my experience.

The only minor downside was the limited distance to some of the nearby attractions, such as the Comanche Trail Golf Complex and the American Quarter Horse Museum, which were slightly further away than expected. However, with the convenience of the motel's facilities, this was a small trade-off for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Our family loved the keyless/coded check-in, clean rooms and good hot shower. The beds were unusually comfortable and there were no bugs. The lights, plumbing, and Wi-Fi worked fine. We appreciated the continual fan that helped dampen the road noise. The wood shutters allowed us to block out outside light for a good night's sleep. The parking right below our 2nd-floor room was convenient. The western/Texana decor gave the place a fun and unique vibe. Plus, having a restaurant right across the parking lot was a huge bonus.

We felt so at home during our stay that we have no complaints at all.

While the quirky saloon-style door and noticeable repairs were minor drawbacks, the Big Tex motif at this roadside gem was a true delight. I had a great stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located next to an amazing restaurant with a variety of dining options that I really enjoyed. The staff were accommodating and offered laundry services, which was a plus. The room amenities such as air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and flat-screen TV were great, and the free toiletries were appreciated. The leisure swimming pool was a highlight for me, and I appreciated the seasonal outdoor pool. The staff were friendly, and the 24-hour reception and 24-hour security were reassuring. I had a great experience.

This hotel was a great value for the money! We loved the western theme apparent in everything from the decor to the cozy blankets. The hotel's location right across from the Big Texan Steakhouse was perfect and the steak there was amazing! The staff were very helpful and friendly too.

Travelling Route 66, we've stayed in some terrible motels, but the Big Texan Motel definitely stood out. The moment we arrived, we were in awe of the colorful exterior and the charming saloon-style interiors. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the WiFi was reliable. We were disappointed that the pool was closed, but the little laundry room was a nice bonus.

The motel had a charming western-themed decor that really made you feel like you were in the old west. The location was really convenient, being next to a fun restaurant that served amazing steaks. The staff on-site were very helpful and welcoming.

On duty clerk was professional and promised to address safety concerns with management. Check-in process via email was efficient and convenient. Rustic and Texan themed rooms were clean and comfortable.

We loved the western feel of the motel. Our concerns about a questionable person in the back parking lot were addressed immediately by the staff. The well-maintained dog area was perfect for our furry friend. We highly recommend this one-of-a-kind experience.
