The American Hotel Atlanta Downtown - A DoubleTree by Hilton was a perfect set up for us with the kids in one room and us in another. The room was just redone, so the decor was cool and modern. It was very, very clean, and the view of the city landmarks, including the SkyView Ferris wheel, was a great added touch.

During our stay, the hotel was under construction, and this impacted our experience. There was no gift shop, which was inconvenient when we needed small essentials like a toothbrush, and the parking situation, especially with the valet, was quite challenging due to the limited access and busy street proximity.

I always come back to this spot. Staff once helped return forgotten sim cards. It suits my needs with Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, fitness center, and more. Perfect for my city break.

The MARTA train connection from the airport was convenient. The room had some maintenance issues but were promptly resolved. The pool and sun terrace added to relaxation. Nearby landmarks like Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site and Georgia World Congress Center provided enriching family experiences, fostering lasting memories.

I recently stayed at a hotel in downtown Atlanta for a weekend, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive. The room was spacious and had a comfortable king size bed. It was also equipped with modern facilities, including a fridge and lots of power sockets. Another great feature was the hotel's convenient location, just a few blocks away from popular attractions like the Coca Cola Museum and the Aquarium. this hotel provided excellent value for money.

Stepped into a time warp at this downtown gem. The '60s vibes and historical murals had me feeling like a real-life secret agent. Loved the Southern-inspired eats at The Cloakroom Kitchen & Bar. Even got to lounge at the poolside Airstream bar-- felt as cool as 007. The room's view of the city lights was picture-perfect. Will be back for sure, maybe next time with a turtleneck and a camera in tow.

Hotel staff was attentive, location perfect for attractions. Only downside was no microwave, but overall great stay for my husband and me.

The staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant, even at 3:30 am when I needed a cab to the airport. The room was nice and the bed was so comfortable! The breakfast buffet was great. I also liked the retro decor and the balcony access. The bathrooms were gorgeous. The hotel's location was perfect, right next to The Tabernacle music venue, close to the Aquarium, Centennial Park, and lots of restaurants. I highly recommend taking the train from the airport to the Peachtree station - it's fast and only costs $3.

We had an incredible stay at The American Hotel! The Doubletree By Hilton experience was perfect - the location was ideal for exploring nearby attractions and the vintage vibe of the hotel added a special touch. The rooms were comfy and clean thanks to the diligent Housekeeping team. The Front Desk staff were brilliant, always helpful and accommodating. We particularly loved the pool and the stunning views from the balcony rooms. And of course, the cookies were amazing!

My wife says that it would be great if the hotel could offer more children's activities to cater to young guests seeking entertainment within the hotel.
