Dunes Village Reviews
myrtle beach never disappoints, and this time was no exception. a spontaneous evening at a new hotel turned into a memorable stay. the oceanfront view exceeded my expectations, and the range of amenities had something for everyone. a perfect family vacation spot.
We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful, always responding to our needs quickly. The room was exceptionally clean, making it the cleanest we've ever experienced at a beach hotel. We loved the comfortable bed and the amazing views from the balcony. The balcony chairs were a nice touch. The showers had good water pressure and hot water. The hotel also had great facilities for kids, keeping them easily entertained. We enjoyed the indoor waterpark and the dance party they had outside for the kids. The hotel restaurant was also amazing, with tasty food and the option to dine outside on the patio. We felt safe with the two different locks on the balcony door.
Nothing at all.
I was blown away by the beautiful flowers and landscaping at the hotel. The clean hallways and friendly staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The decor was appealing, and the kitchen supplies were thoughtfully provided. The towels were soft, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The highlight for me was the delicious food at both restaurants.
While there were a few minor issues, such as a slow draining sink and bathtub, and the inability to smoke on the balcony due to previous incidents, these did not overshadow the overall positive experience. I also noticed that the pool sticks and tables in the park were in need of an update, and the splash pool water guns needed repair. It would be great if there were smaller floats available for us older guests to enjoy the lazy river without having to compete for the big inner tubes.
The hotel had fun activities like slides and scheduled kids' activities. Our room was upgraded for free due to a smell issue and had a delicious breakfast. The suite was spacious and clean, and the staff was polite. The location was convenient for dining and leisure activities.
Great amenities for budget travellers - spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of pools and entertainment.
Felt like family, nothing too much trouble.
The best aspects of our stay were the friendly front desk staff and the well-equipped rooms with cooking facilities. The pools were also nice and great for kids. The key location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see and do, and we enjoyed being right on the ocean.
There were several negative aspects to our experience. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired, with dirty kitchen areas and broken ovens. The beds were also very uncomfortable, causing back pain throughout our stay. The overall feel of the building was old and neglected, with stains on the carpets and walls, and dirt buildup around the air vents. The presence of large bugs in the rooms was also a major issue. While the staff did their best to address these concerns, it was clear that the hotel was not well-maintained. Additionally, there were delays in fulfilling basic requests, such as providing toilet paper.
I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at this hotel. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the great oceanfront patio that came with our room. The attention to detail in the rooms was impressive, with a nice view and basic amenities as advertised. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The location, nestled in a somewhat residential area surrounded by million dollar properties, gave a sense of exclusivity.
All was good, no improvements needed.
stayed at dunes village last time in myrtle beach but this time was even better! lovely rooms, friendly staff, and a delicious breakfast. the view of the ocean and pool area was amazing from our fifth-floor room. can't wait to come back.
rude staff, especially housekeeping something was off
I loved staying at this beachfront resort! The staff was amazing, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious, with a full kitchen and a sitting area with a TV. It was perfect for accommodating a group of 6-7 people. The resort had great facilities for kids, including a playground and water parks. The bar staff was friendly, and the valet service was convenient. Housekeeping was prompt and always provided fresh towels. it was an excellent value for the money.
Felt right at home, no complaints.
I loved staying at this place in Myrtle Beach! The location was perfect, situated in a somewhat residential area right on the beach. It was a great spot if you wanted to escape the crowds and enjoy your own space on the beach with your own umbrella and chairs. Plus, it was conveniently close to everything I wanted to explore. The staff here was amazing, always friendly and helpful. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.
I have no complaints about this hotel. The service was top-notch, from the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out. The staff here truly goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area.
Friendly staff, enjoyable water parks, great breakfast options, stunning view, and plenty of activities for teens.
Nothing not to love.
We had a fantastic time at the resort and will definitely be back! The staff, amenities, and room were all top-notch. The quick response and resolution of our microwave and tub issues were impressive. The view and beach access were phenomenal, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The staff, especially Matt in Palmetto Towers, were extremely helpful and friendly. We loved everything about this facility and can't wait to return!
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
I had an amazing stay here. I loved how this place is located in a residential area among million-dollar properties and as such, it feels somewhat undeveloped. The best thing was that this hotel is situated right on the beach, providing great beach access. I also appreciated the wonderful room amenities, such as air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, balcony, and a kitchen fitted with cookware and utensils. The indoor swimming pool was an absolute joy, and I enjoyed the aqua park, full body massage, and spa center. Furthermore, the on-site car park is a great way to ensure that your vehicle is safe and secure.
Though the place was great, the staff I encountered was terrible. From the night manager Robert to the parking attendant Chuck, none of them made it accommodating until multiple requests were made. Additionally, the lady that came in to change the bed sheets and comforter had a very bad attitude and was rude, which was not what I expected from a place like this. Despite this, I would still highly recommend this venue, and it is worth the stay.
We had a fantastic family vacation at this oceanfront hotel. The water slides and pool facilities were great, keeping our kids entertained for hours. The friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the resort had everything we needed. The rooms were clean, and the location was perfect, just steps away from the warm waters of Myrtle Beach. The parking garage was convenient, and we appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to our friends.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
This hotel was a real find! The location was unbeatable, right on the beach with stunning views. It was amazing to stay in such a beautiful area amid a neighborhood of million dollar properties. The hotel was also very reasonably priced, especially given the level of service and attention to detail. The rooms with balcony and oceanfront patio were absolutely gorgeous - we really loved sitting outside and taking in the sea air. Staff were fantastic and basic amenities were more than enough for our needs.
Our room could have been a bit cleaner, but overall, this hotel was a fantastic stay!
