I recently stayed at Ascend Hotel in Grass Valley for a weekend getaway to explore the Sierra foothills. The location was perfect for exploring the area, as it was centrally located and within walking distance of downtown Grass Valley. The staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming, and the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the hotel clean. I was pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary bottled water, and the pricing for my stay was very reasonable. The hotel also offered a fabulous breakfast included in the room rate, as well as a complimentary happy hour, which was a nice bonus. it was a great stay and I would happily recommend this hotel.

Our stay at the Gold Miners Inn was fantastic. The location was convenient, right in the heart of downtown. The room was well-equipped, clean, and perfect for our needs. We loved the cozy lodge atmosphere with the fireplace, it felt like a home away from home. The staff was friendly and helpful, accommodating our late-night room change request without any extra charge. The breakfast options were extensive, especially the selection of hot food. we had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

The walls were not very soundproof, and noise from neighboring rooms and showers could be heard. the breakfast buffet had a good variety but the menu was the same every day, lacking variety for longer stays.

Stayed here for the weekend and had a great time! the hotel had a fantastic location, right in the heart of the historic area with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Plus, the breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a variety of options including scrambled eggs, pancakes, and breakfast burritos. a wonderful experience!

There were a few minor issues during our stay. the shower curtain didn't do a great job of keeping the water in, so the bathroom floor got wet every time we showered.

The shower was one of the best I've experienced in a hotel, with its good size, great lighting, and perfect water pressure. Additionally, the hotel's location within walking distance of downtown made it convenient for exploring the charming shops and restaurants.
