Great location, but with quirks

During my stay, I loved the spacious suite featuring a comfy seating area and kitchenette. The staff was certainly helpful and made check-in a breeze. The breakfast had a good variety, especially for families. The hotel's location is a major perk—within walking distance of trendy shops and delicious restaurants.

However, I did notice a few downsides. The pool area had an overwhelming chlorine smell that was quite off-putting. Also, the secondary lock on the room door didn’t work, which made me a bit uneasy. A late check-out request turned into a hassle when the front desk seemed unresponsive at times.

Additionally, the room I was provided had cleanliness issues, with old crumbs on the floor and an overall lack of attention to detail, which was quite disappointing. The breakfast was a letdown too, with many items running out early and a general feeling of neglect.

My stay at Grandstay Hotel & Suites Downtown Sheboygan was wonderful. The facility was clean, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. I particularly appreciated the spacious suite which included two separate bedrooms, a kitchenette, and a comfortable sitting area. Each room was equipped with its own TV, which added to our convenience. The location was ideal, with many stores and some of the best restaurants close by in the south pier area. The breakfast included a nice selection of options like waffles, muffins, and yogurt, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. I felt safe walking around the area at any hour.

Housekeeping service is limited for stays under seven days.

Very friendly staff. the breakfast options varied daily with omelets, bacon, and breakfast burritos. The location was excellent for exploring downtown and the Sheboygan River, close to trendy shops and amazing restaurants.

Housekeeping could improve communication. and some snacks offered were not very filling or healthy.

We really enjoyed the cozy fireplace in the lobby and the comfortable seating area by the indoor pool—it was the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. I wish the bathroom vent worked, since it made things a bit stuffy, but it didn’t ruin our stay. Definitely check out the sun terrace for some sunshine and relaxation! 😊

We enjoyed walking to a nearby supper club which had fantastic food. The staff were friendly and directed us to some cool local attractions that we wouldn't have found on our own.

It wasn’t cheap, but considering how close we were to everything, it was still acceptable.
