Oh, the breakfast options were pretty tasty, especially the waffles and fruit! The kitchenette in my room allowed me to whip up meals with fresh finds from nearby HEB, which made my culinary explorations a delight.

Unfortunately, the decor feels like it hasn't been updated since the '80s, giving it a dated vibe that might not appeal to everyone. The parking situation was a nightmare, with too many spots occupied by patrons of a nearby bar, forcing us to park down the street or risk a tow. Also, if you're expecting your room cleaned every day, think again—service was only every three days, which is a hassle for a beach stay.

the room was seriously run down, with stained curtains and damp carpet that made me feel like I was at a swamp instead of a hotel. I absolutely expected to be offered an upgrade after all those inconveniences, but I was treated like just another guest, how rude. could've almost given a good review, but just couldn't.

hawthorn was a fantastic stay! it's right across from the beach, which made it super convenient. we loved the small kitchen in our king room, making it easy to prepare snacks. the staff was incredibly nice and helped us snag a great deal for an extra night. the gym facilities were also a bonus!

the curtains had stains, and the furniture was dustier than my grandma's attic. housekeeping must've been on vacation themselves because our beds weren’t even made! after being treated like an inconvenience, I expected a complimentary upgrade or at least some fresh towels. a real disappointment that just couldn’t be overlooked.

Staff were very pleasant, and the beach access was a huge plus. Unfortunately, the parking situation was a nightmare with limited spots available. Mini golf nearby was a fun extra.

Had a great time in the King Room. It was spacious and clean, with a kitchenette that had a microwave, refrigerator, and oven. Loved the walk-in shower and the comfortable bed! The fitness center was a nice touch too. Breakfast was hot and fresh every morning, and the beach was so close!

Unfortunately, the kitchen was about as equipped as a toddler's playset! Also, a pool would have been lovely to soak up some sun without the beach sand.
