I recently stayed at Hi Hostel in SLO for a few nights and had a great experience. The price was very affordable and the location was perfect, just a short walk from the historic center. The facilities were clean, including the shared bathrooms and showers, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere in the morning with the smell of homemade pancakes and coffee was delightful. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hostel.

The location was perfect, with restaurants and a store within walking distance and close proximity to the Amtrak station. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff had it ready to go every morning. I had a wonderful experience at this hostel.

I had an amazing time staying at Hi - San Luis Obispo Hostel. the private en suite room I stayed in was clean and well-equipped with towels and pillows. Despite being located in the former attic, the room had an air conditioner to keep me cool during the warm summer nights. the staff provided excellent customer service, and I enjoyed getting to know them during my stay. the pancakes and coffee served in the morning were a delicious extra. I was only supposed to stay for two nights, but ended up extending my stay to almost a week. the hostel's location was convenient, with easy parking and close proximity to everything.

Great location, 5 minute walk to Thursday’s Farmer’s Market and downtown restaurants and shops. Quiet and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Clean and well-maintained facilities. Friendly and lively staff. Good value for money.

With live music, entertainment, and stands filled with locally grown produce, it was a feast for the senses. I indulged in the most delicious homemade sourdough pancakes - they were like fluffy clouds of happiness!

Room mix-up caused discomfort.

The staff goes out of their way to make guests feel welcome and informed, like Laura, who was an extremely helpful and enthusiastic receptionist. The location is also ideal, near the train station and in a quiet neighborhood. Plus, the hostel offers free parking, which is a major advantage. The included pancake breakfast is a great way to start the day and connect with fellow travelers.

Jaw-droppingly amazing experience! The young staff here are mind-blowingly patient and compassionate. The inclusive atmosphere is super welcoming. The bathrooms are squeaky clean, and the quiet hours are strictly observed. The option to do laundry for just $5 is a huge plus. The rooms have space heaters and the sheets are clean and high quality. Earplugs are available for just 50 cents at the desk, perfect for early sleepers. The entire place is cleaned daily, and there's even a piano to enjoy. The hostel's location near coffee shops and a deli, as well as its proximity to downtown, makes it a convenient choice. The off-street parking is a bonus. The fridge is clean and well-organized. Best of all, guests of all ages, including families, are welcome. Can't forget the cheap price! Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Central Coast area. Wi-fi, free parking, shared kitchen, laundry, hiking. No pets allowed, no smoking on-site.
