We were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday and the staff, particularly Lindsay, was amazing. They upgraded our room and surprised us with a free dinner for 2 and a birthday dessert. The coffee maker and small refrigerator in the room were convenient. The bathroom toiletries were nice and the bed was comfortable. The front desk and restaurant staff provided top-notch service. The hotel is wonderful for both vacation and work, with comfortable beds, accommodating staff, and spotless rooms. The food is amazing. We'll definitely return if we're in the area.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The bed was absolutely amazing - so comfortable and perfect for a good night's sleep. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, always ready to assist with any request. The room I stayed in, a King room, was fresh and clean. The bathroom, although a bit outdated in appearance, served its purpose well. Additionally, the hotel went above and beyond to make my husband's 50th birthday celebration special. We received a complimentary upgrade upon check-in, and upon our return, we found a thoughtful card from the hotel along with a free dinner for two and a dessert to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were truly touched by this gesture and appreciate how well we were treated.

This hotel is located in a quiet, residential area that makes it a peaceful retreat from rowdy crowds. It is close to UCSD medical center, and its location is convenient as it is near everything that we wanted to visit. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with silky-luxurious sheets and spotlessly clean surfaces. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the temperature was easy to set. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making the check-in process easy and effortless, with parking that's easy to find.

The hotel is farther away from most attractions than expected.

The Bistro at the Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Del Mar was a pleasant surprise! Unlike other Hilton locations, they offer a unique menu with delicious food. The deli for lunch was a bonus! The location was also great, with easy access to the 5 and other attractions. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staffing at the hotel was inadequate, causing inconvenience as the main doors, restaurant, and bars were closed. the breakfast options were limited and unsatisfactory, with a lack of variety and portion sizes.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location was perfect for me as it was situated in a beautiful residential area, which was very quiet and peaceful. The staff was amazing and provided fantastic services from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious and the amenities provided such as air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and a bathtub made for a very comfortable stay. Additionally, I cannot say enough about the quality of the staff - they were exceptional in their customer service skills and were accommodating to all of my requests.

Great hospitality from the staff. the front desk clerk was very helpful and allowed me to charge my phone at the front desk. the hotel's outdoor areas were well furnished and ideal for relaxing with friends and a glass of wine. It was situated only a short ride away from several dining options and tourist sites.

The hotel had some issues with mold in the bathroom. When I reported it to the front desk, the clerk was not very accommodating and did not offer a room switch.

I got great value for my money at Hilton Garden Inn! The room was clean, comfortable, and had excellent amenities like a coffee maker and spacious shower. The location was perfect for my needs and the staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a terrific stay.
