As foreign tourists, we appreciated the warm welcome from the down-to-earth and friendly staff. The hotel provided comfortable beds with plenty of pillows for a restful stay. The indoor and outdoor pools were great for relaxation, and the buffet breakfast offered a wonderful start to our day with delicious choices like coffee, eggs, fruit, and crispy bacon. The inclusion of a refrigerator and microwave in the room was a convenient touch.

Finally, the location was fantastic, surrounded by restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations. It made everything so convenient during my stay.

Contacts should be checked before arrival to ensure rooms are clean and available. Elevator service was lacking with only one elevator working. Some doors seemed tampered with and didn't feel safe. Room door was difficult to close without slamming. Unclean areas and stained carpets were disappointing. Friendly night clerk at check, in was a positive. Odor and rusting hardware in the room were unpleasant. Housekeeping was not consistent with room cleaning. the staff at the front desk seemed indifferent. the air conditioner in the room was not effective. Fast and accurate check, in process was appreciated.

The hotel was much larger than expected with a spacious lobby, bar, restaurant, indoor swimming pool, and outdoor swimming pool. The lobby had plenty of seating areas and TVs to relax and watch.

The breakfast buffet at Holiday Inn Baton Rouge-South was fantastic! They had a great variety of choices, and the eggs made to order were a real treat. The kitchen staff and room attendants were very friendly and accommodating. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff.

The room at the hotel was a bit outdated, but other than that, I felt very comfortable and had no complaints whatsoever.

Secondly, the prices were such a great value for money, especially considering the newly renovated tower with rooms featuring hardwood floors and a king-size bed. And lastly, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home.
