The staff were welcoming and accommodating, even providing milk for a baby. The room was quiet with a good AC system. The breakfast was excellent and well thought out. The restaurant area was clean and efficiently managed. Spacious room with useful kitchenette.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel on University Avenue. the location was perfect for me as it was close to the UC Berkeley campus. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Lastly, the breakfast served was excellent, with a wide variety of food options available, including freshly made pancakes.

The hotel's location was convenient, with downtown Berkeley and UC Berkeley's campus nearby. There were also nice local eateries within walking distance, including an excellent Thai restaurant. Additionally, I appreciated the secure card reader entrance and the fact that all rooms were accessible only from inside the hotel.

The hotel itself was clean and the room was in good condition, despite the older furnishings. The breakfast provided was excellent, with a variety of hot food options and good choices. The highlight was the hotel's location within walking distance to the BART, which made it convenient to explore downtown San Francisco.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Berkeley campus and has easy access to the highway.

The bed was comfortable and the noise level was low, allowing for a peaceful stay. the location was convenient, with the North Berkeley BART station just a 15-minute walk away and restaurants nearby. Additionally, having a microwave and refrigerator in the room was a nice bonus.

The lobby, elevator, and hallway were not well-maintained and could use some updating. the desk in the room was oddly positioned, blocking the way to the bathroom.

During our Christmas stay, we absolutely loved the commercial, grade night light in the bathroom and the sink with a high faucet. These features made our stay comfortable and hassle, free. Another advantage was the excellent AC in the room with easy, to, adjust settings. We were able to keep the room at our preferred temperature throughout our stay. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect as it was near several restaurants and shops, making it convenient for us to explore and dine out.

The only downside was that the televisions in the rooms were older and did not accommodate a fire stick. This was a bit bothersome as we were traveling with small children who wanted to watch their favorite shows on apps like Disney plus.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Berkeley was excellent. The room was comfortable, clean, and had a nice kitchenette. The location was convenient, within walking distance of the beautiful Berkeley campus. The staff was friendly and accommodating, granting our request for a 1st floor room to avoid disturbing other guests with our energetic toddler.

The breakfast offerings could be improved by incorporating organic Stevia for coffee.

First of all, I must say that the room at this hotel was exceptionally clean. It smelled a little, but that could easily be resolved with a deodorizer. The beds and bedding were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were also quite helpful, especially Carmen who kept the breakfast area very clean and efficiently restocked the food. The basic amenities provided, such as a desk, refrigerator, coffeemaker, and free wifi, were exactly what one would expect from a hotel in this price range. Additionally, the location was convenient, being close to downtown and restaurants.

Everything was alright, but the breakfast could be improved. While it had a good array of options, the packaging and use of disposable plates, cups, bowls, and utensils was a real shame.
