We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Cedar Hill. Our purpose was to visit our kids who live nearby, and the location was perfect for that. The hotel is easily accessible from highway 67 and close to shopping and dining options. The rooms are spacious and clean, and we appreciated the amenities like the microwave, fridge, and cabinets that allowed us to bring snacks to our room. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast had a good variety of options to choose from. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and felt safe and at peace during our stay.

In particular, Janae, the housekeeper, found my lost airpods and Sarah. The hotel exuded cleanliness, from the rooms to the hallways and main areas. The check-in staff was incredibly sweet, offering a warm welcome. It was also nice that they had a variety of purchaseable items for hungry guests, and that they maintained strict control over charging items to our account without permission. The excellent breakfast spread, friendly and helpful staff, and overall enjoyable stay reaffirmed our preference for this hotel.

During my Christmas stay, I loved how close the hotel was to restaurants and stores like Target and Walmart. It made it convenient for last-minute holiday shopping and grabbing a quick bite to eat. Additionally, the room was clean and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere for our stay. the staff was also very welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home.

One aspect that I wasn't a fan of was the pool area. the water had a murky look to it, which made me hesitant to take a dip.
