holiday inn express in san diego was a delightful surprise! the friendly staff, amazing breakfast, and convenient shuttle service made our stay exceptional. we didn't even need a rental car thanks to the shuttle! definitely coming back.

Noisy room near highway, couldn't open window.

The room was nice and the shower was great! the little convenience store off the lobby was a convenient feature. the breakfast area being open for take out only was a good precaution during these times.

The old style cable TV connection was a disappointment. the pillows were very flat and uncomfortable.

This hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of Old Town, and they even have a shuttle service for those who prefer not to drive. The staff is exceptional, always ready to answer questions and provide assistance. The rooms are newly renovated and spacious, and some even have a huge jacuzzi tub. The complimentary breakfast is a great perk, and the staff ensures everything is always filled up. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to nearby restaurants and tourist spots.

The TV channel selection is limited, but they do provide free Wi-Fi for guests to use their devices.

The hotel is located on the cusp of a quiet residential area, providing a peaceful atmosphere. It is conveniently close to old town and other attractions, making it easy to access everything we required. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable beds, and the bathrooms were well-maintained. The friendly and helpful staff provided great service, offering recommendations and accommodating early check-ins. The breakfast offered a decent selection, and the heated pool was a bonus for guests, especially for children.

Elevator reliability was an issue, as some guests experienced being stuck in it.
