my recent stay in louisville was fantastic, especially at holiday inn express. the staff were super accommodating, helping with parking and local recommendations. the shuttle service made exploring the city easy and fun, truly exceeding my expectations during this trip.

the breakfast options could use more variety.

Comfortable room, friendly staff, and the conveniently located parking garage made my stay enjoyable, especially since the hotel is right by the Loo Line free bus service that takes you to nearby attractions.

Hard to think of anything.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Downtown Louisville was like discovering a unicorn in my backyard! The spacious King Room was modern and clean, and the bed and pillows were so extraordinary that I was tempted to sneak them home. Plus, Fatima and KiKi shared helpful tips on where to purchase those heavenly pillows. Breakfast was decent, and the location was within walking distance to all the downtown attractions, just like having a candy store next door! I will definitely return!

Parking issues.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Downtown Louisville was like a perfectly brewed cup of coffee on a Monday morning—just what I needed! The hotel is conveniently close to attractions like the Muhammad Ali Center and the Louisville Slugger Museum, making it easy to embrace the spirit of the city. The breakfast was a delightful surprise, I indulged in pancakes made by a magical machine, making mornings feel like a buffet party! Plus, I appreciated not having to hunt for parking. the garage next door was just 20 feet away and offered validation. The staff was so helpful even at dawn after my red-eye flight, letting me check in early. Now, that’s southern hospitality at its best!

Room issues.

Clean room, comfortable bed, with easy access to downtown attractions like the Slugger Museum helped make my stay enjoyable and stress-free, especially with 24-hour reception and parking conveniently located next door.

Everything was superb.

The rooms were clean and well-lit, and I appreciated the fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker handy for late-night snacks or morning caffeine fixes. Breakfast was a hit with a variety of options, including warm cinnamon rolls and a one-touch pancake maker that really made my mornings feel less like a chore.

Parking was a gamble with very limited availability, often leading to a trek to the nearby garage—make sure to snag that QR code for the discounted rate if you're self-parking. The Wi-Fi was spotty in my room which made doing some quick work frustrating, and it took more than a few asks for coffee capsules to get resolved, despite initial assurances that they'd be delivered to my room. And the towels could use replacing. they were worn out and definitely not up to par with the rest of the offerings around here.

This hotel is perfectly situated near fun attractions like the St James Arts Festival and the Zombie Walk. Our big family had easy access to all the excitement. The breakfast was a nice way to kick off our busy days with plenty of options.

My kids wished for better kid-friendly breakfast options.
