I recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in the Lake Elmo area. The location was perfect, being super close to the interstate but far enough away to not have crazy traffic around you. It was also convenient to explore the local areas around and the Twin Cities via the Interstate. The room was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. I also enjoyed dining at the nearby Machine Shed restaurant. a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
