The small amenities really need attention!!! A lack of mini-fridges is quite inconvenient for food management. Noise levels from the bar can be overwhelming and the long wait for hot water is frustrating!!! It's not at all modern!!!

the hotel is so old that I felt like I was in a museum. my 'deluxe king room' was smaller than my kids' playroom, and where was my welcome gift for the inconvenience? I almost gave it a good review BUT the long waits for hot water and lack of mini-fridge really were a letdown.

exploring sutter creek from an amazing central base

during my stay, I found the front desk staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful, which made exploring the nearby Sutter Creek Gallery just steps away a breeze and really enhanced my experience of the local art scene. I also loved how I could easily stroll to the charming Sutter Creek Ice Cream Emporium in under five minutes—perfect for a sweet treat during my city walks.

Couple's getaway with charm and quirks

My wife and I recently took a little trip for our anniversary and chose this place. The location was perfect, right on Main St It’s a charming area, and we found some great local eateries nearby. We loved the old-world feel, and even if the room was small, it still had a cozy vibe. We also enjoyed the dining room and the bar in the basement, which had some interesting character.

It wasn’t exactly a bargain at $250 a night but you know what they say, sometimes you pay for the experience.
