Despite some minor drawbacks, our recent stay at the Hyatt Place was overall enjoyable. The location was perfect, with downtown Iowa City and the University of Iowa just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The breakfast offered was tasty and satisfying. The staff was helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to assist us with our requests. We especially appreciated their efforts to retrieve a forgotten item and ensure its safe return to us. I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location, comfortable rooms, and attentive staff.

Located in a student area, this hotel offers delicious breakfast and comfortable beds. The rooms are spacious, fully equipped with a fridge and plenty of tech outlets. If you are lucky you can get a nice view of the historic Capitol dome.

The staff seems to have problems with the maintenance of the hotel. During our stay, I had to endure the sound of a fire alarm, which was triggered by a broken sprinkler in the lobby entrance.

The breakfast at Hyatt Place was absolutely delicious! They had a great variety of fresh and tasty options that left us satisfied. Additionally, the beds in our room were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The outdoor seating area and indoor parking garage were also highly appreciated - both were clean and well-maintained.

The hotel is in a great downtown location, within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Friendly staff who goes above and beyond to assist guests. Clean and comfortable rooms with fantastic city views. Complimentary upgrade and early check-in. Accommodating to special requests and needs, such as providing quick assistance to a diabetic guest. an excellent place to stay for those on a budget.

I loved the outdoor seating area with benches and greenery, it was a great place to relax. The indoor parking garage was clean and convenient. The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of options. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The staff at the front desk and restaurant were very helpful and courteous. The hotel had good security with key card access.

The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city. We were able to walk to several restaurants and shops, and even explore parts of the nearby university. It was so convenient! Additionally, the staff was amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

There were a few things that could have been better. the parking situation was quite confusing and frustrating.

The breakfast bar was superb! There were lots of choices and the staff was super friendly. Also, the location was great! The hotel was situated right downtown, making it convenient to explore the area. Additionally, I got a free room upgrade because it was ready early. The room had a huge window by the bed, allowing me to enjoy a beautiful view of the city and even watch the sunset!

There were a few drawbacks to my stay. The hotel was understaffed, with only one person working the front desk on a Saturday night.

The hotel had excellent breakfast, clean facilities, and helpful staff. The location was also great, as it was close to downtown Iowa City.

I recently stayed at Hyatt Place and had a wonderful experience. My stay was for three nights and centered around exploring the downtown area and University. The location was ideal, as it was within walking distance of both. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was fantastic. They were always available at the front desk, providing excellent service. The hotel also offered a nice spread for breakfast and had a small gym and indoor pool. it was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it.

Conveniently located near downtown and campus, this recently built establishment was spotless and well-maintained. The room gifted me amazing views of the city and a screen-divided bed. Great breakfast with real utensils and warm pool, with friendly staff making it even better.
