Cozy villas, stunning views, made our stay enjoyable with a lovely outdoor swimming pool that was perfect for unwinding after exploring the nearby scenic nature trails and the accessibility of the charming SAM Shortline Excursion Train that makes the stay even more unique.

Lake Blackshear Resort offers comfortable villas with great lake views, perfect for family gatherings. We enjoyed the lively atmosphere at the restaurant and the peaceful kayaking experience. However, some communication regarding certain amenities could improve. Great for families looking to relax and explore the outdoors!

We stayed in the villas,, which were clean and cozy for us. The view from our screened porch was fantastic,, and each morning felt like a gift watching the sunrise over the lake.

It wasn’t exactly inexpensive,, but it was worth it.

Cypress Grill needed more menu options, but enjoyed kayaking.

The scenic nature trails for walking allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beautiful lakeside setting, providing a perfect escape into nature.

While the Cypress Grill had some unique menu options, the overall variety could be expanded to cater to diverse tastes and preferences.

The villas were really comfortable with air conditioning, a refrigerator, cable channels, and even a balcony with stunning lake views. Free toiletries and a hairdryer were handy. The spa facilities were awesome for relaxation after a busy day. Our family loved the playgrounds and activities around the beautiful grounds. Just a great getaway!

I enjoyed the scenic ride on the train that took me through beautiful countryside. My evening at the Lakeside 88 Bar was memorable, thanks to my server, Ashley, who truly made it special. The food was satisfying, and the views complemented the experience. I recommend trying the pontoon boat rentals for a fun day out on the water. It was a great getaway for someone like me who enjoys exploring nature and indulging in culinary delights.

We had such a fun time at the resort! The villas were super comfy for our family gathering and the kids loved exploring the beautiful grounds. Plus, the scenery around the lake was breathtaking! We even enjoyed a couple of fishing trips with the pontoon boats.

My wife says that adding more activities for kids would enhance family trips.

the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. we enjoyed the delicious food both at dinner and breakfast! ! the outdoor pool was relaxing, and the view of the lake was breathtaking. a great spot for a weekend getaway!

a few signs could be clearer. locating the check-in area was confusing.

Located by the lake, the scenery is stunning, making for a wonderful escape. However, the lack of functional in-room phones made communication challenging, and despite requesting housekeeping early, I had to handle trash removal myself and waited too long for towels. Dining at the on-site restaurant was frustrating too. staff initially insisted it was closed despite visible patrons. On a positive note, the homemade ice cream was delightful, and the views from the villas were exceptional.

We had a fantastic dinner at the Lakeside 88 Bar where our server Ashley made the evening really special with her attention to detail and the stunning view. The outdoor swimming pool and relaxing jacuzzi were perfect for unwinding after a day of activities. The only downside was that some of the spa services were fully booked, so I’d recommend making reservations early! 🌅

the marina offers great boating options but farmore indoor activities would be welcome.
