Clean room with relaxing lake view. Breakfast was basic.

i almost considered giving this place a good review, but alas, the breakfast was dreadful, and the room was unbearably small. shockingly, i didn’t even get free upgrades, despite my obvious importance. is it too much to ask for a proper refrigerator and the kind of service one deserves? utterly disappointing experience at every turn, including the unhelpful management!

This place suits me perfectly with free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and a great bar area. The staff helped me find places with good exchange rates on my first stay, which I appreciated. I highly recommend trying the Indian restaurant on site! I'll be back for the new year!

we had a fantastic stay at ascension hotel during our honeymoon. the lake view was stunning, and we loved relaxing on our balcony. the breakfast space offered amazing views, and we enjoyed renting kayaks for fun on the water.

We stayed for a night in a king superior lakeview room. The whirlpool tub and fireplace were excellent features. We enjoyed the spacious, clean, and quiet room, along with a fantastic Sunday lunch buffet. A perfect getaway to recharge!

absolutely loved the lake view, but that’s where the excitement ended. the breakfast was not fresh, being mostly from packets. my fridge didn’t work at all, yet no one offered me a compensation or an upgrade—just disappointing. I almost had a nice review, but I could’nt overlook these glaring issues.

Enjoyed the peaceful lakefront and had fun kayaking with my family. The kids particularly loved the quiet time by the water, and we even spotted some fish jumping around. It's a nice spot for relaxing family time, especially with my mom along.

My stay was fantastic, as the hotel is just a short walk from the serene Laurel Lake, and it’s perfectly situated for exploring nearby attractions like the beautiful Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum, making my city strolls a delight. the staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring my visit was enjoyable.

However, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, with spider webs found in common areas like the dining area, which didn't match the hotel’s price tag. Breakfast was notably lacking, with no hot options available and a quality that felt below standard, disappointing for a place expecting you to pay a higher rate. Additionally, the lack of an elevator can be a hassle, especially if you’re assigned a room on the second floor when you've requested something more accessible.
