Just a commendable fit for a city break in Monterey with fantastic value for money. Clean rooms and a nice pool.

The staff were so welcoming, making me feel right at home! I loved sipping organic coffee in our cozy room and lounging by the fire pits under the stars. The location was perfect for beach walks and exploring nearby attractions!

The staff was incredibly friendly and check-in was a breeze. The courtyard was charming, and the heated pool was well-maintained, perfect for unwinding. Unfortunately, the shower had low water pressure and the room smelled faintly of bleach right after cleaning. I did appreciate the comfortable beds, but the shower felt cramped, and the lack of an eatery on-site was a downside. A minor issue arose when we needed to switch rooms; the owner was a bit inflexible, which was surprising. Still, the location near the beach made it a worthwhile experience overall.

This hotel is just across the street from the beach and right next to Denise the Menace Park, which makes it super easy to enjoy long walks along the waterfront or relax in the park, plus we were only about a kilometer away from the Monterey Museum of Art and less than a mile to Cannery Row and the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium. The staff was friendly, and our room was clean and well-equipped with essentials like tea, coffee, and bottled water. However, there were some areas for improvement, like the outdated furnishings and the need for better hospitality training for the front desk staff.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, though it felt slightly too soft for my liking. Temperature control was lacking; a portable electric fan was insufficient for heating. The aesthetic was a bit outdated, with paint blots visible on the walls. the electrical sockets had damage, causing issues with the microwave and bathroom usage. I appreciated the fridge and microwave in the room. The wifi worked well, and the location was great for exploring nearby attractions. the shared balcony lacked privacy and amenities like a simple breakfast were missed. there’s room for improvement.

It would have been helpful to have some cookware or kitchen utensils available in the room who prefer to prepare their own meals. The AM/FM alarm clock and flat-screen TV were functional, but the housekeeping service could have been more attentive to details.

Conveniently located near attractions, the property has a lot to offer families. A well-maintained pool and a park across the street provide excellent recreation options. The staff excelled in their roles, sharing valuable local insights. Rooms are clean and equipped with essential amenities, though on the smaller side. there were some inconveniences. A plumbing issue made post-pool showers impossible, and staff communication could use improvement. A lack of apology for disruptions was disappointing. The pet-friendly policy is a plus, yet the additional fee could be clearer. King-sized beds should be inspected for wear. With attention to these concerns, this place could truly shine.

So, we arrived around 3 PM, hoping for an early check-in, but had to wait an hour. By 4 PM, our room still wasn’t ready, and we finally got in just before 5. Super frustrating!

The helpful and friendly staff made our experience even better, providing us with assistance and maintaining a clean and cozy atmosphere. The courtyard and proximity to the beach and park across the street added to the charm of the location, making it a recommendable choice for a relaxing getaway.
