I had the most amazing weekend getaway at a beautiful and relaxing retreat nestled in tranquil surroundings. The breakfasts were simply incredible - generous portions and absolutely delicious. The guesthouse itself was a sight to behold, with its beautiful decor and interesting memorabilia adorning the walls. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had lovely en-suite bathrooms. I particularly enjoyed the shared kitchen/lounge area, which was perfect for unwinding in the evenings. The hosts, Barbara and Ted, were incredibly warm, kind, and friendly. They shared fascinating stories and offered helpful suggestions for activities in the area. If you're looking for a quieter retreat off the beaten trail, I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

With loon calls and bright stars at night, and cheeky hummingbirds during the day, it truly feels like living in nature. The convenience of nearby hiking trails and canoeing launch points in the Boundary Waters is a definite plus. The friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and delicious hot breakfasts make for a memorable stay. Barbara's helpful advice on hiking and local restaurants was much appreciated. a wonderful place to relax and reconnect with nature.

Spent a unforgettable Christmas in nature! the location of the hotel is just perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility. the woods offer beautiful views with the sound of loons and hummingbirds complementing the experience. the best aspect of the hotel is the warm welcome I received from the hosts. They were helpful and caring, giving lots of tips for exploring the area. the breakfasts were hearty and satisfying, perfect for a day of hiking or skiing.

There were very few downsides to my stay at this hotel. However, like any place in the woods, be prepared to bring insect repellent for when you step outside.
