the staff, from the garage attendant to the breakfast wait staff, were all friendly and engaging. They were always ready to answer any questions I had. the lobby had a nice touch with an attractive water dispenser and fruit slices. There were also three excellent restaurants within walking distance, including the Brasserie 292. the room itself was clean, quiet, and had a quaint charm. But the highlight was the amazing view from the 9th floor, overlooking the Hudson River and the mid Hudson Bridge. It was especially beautiful at night.

We stayed one night at this city centre hotel and it was a great base for exploring the area. The staff at reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Free parking in the attached garage was a plus, and the room was clean. Breakfast was complimentary and the hot buffet was delicious. The property was clean and the staff was very friendly. The location was perfect for attending an event at the MJN center. Every staff person we encountered was engaging and friendly, from the garage attendant to the breakfast wait staff to the security personnel. The water dispenser with fruit slices in the lobby was a nice touch, and there were multiple good restaurants within walking distance.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Staying in the heart of downtown, we found ourselves within walking distance of the famous Hudson River Bridge, a striking sight as the sun sets and boats pass by. The proximity to the train station provided stress-free transportation. The location also boasts numerous gastronomic options for diverse tastes to dine in. The room provided comfortable bedding and a clean bathroom, while the courteous staff gave us exceptional service. The breakfast buffet featuring fresh fruit and multiple hot options topped off our stay nicely.

One of the ice machines was not in good condition, but we found another to provide for our needs.

The check, in process was smooth and easy, which is so nice when you are tired and stressed from traveling. the hotel was warm and welcoming. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel for ease of parking. the room was large and comfortable and had all amenities. the staff, during check, in, were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We arrived about 8:30 and were hungry and tired. We were so happy to see a bar in the lobby. the food was delicious and inexpensive and the atmosphere relaxing. It was so nice not to have to go out to find a restaurant! the location was downtown near the Walk Across the Hudson which was the reason for our going there. the breakfast was free, but not the usual styra, foam containers and plastic utensils one finds at most hotels with free breakfast.

Poughkeepsie needs a better downtown. There really isn't much to do within walking distance.
