The spectacular window views in the clean room were breathtaking. the staff was so accommodating. I'd choose it again FOR SURE. Better than in photos!

we love this boutique hotel! stayed on the Club Quarters side for the view of the river. the room had everything we needed and more, with modern decor and a great shower. convenient location for exploring, easy access to transportation, and a variety of dining options nearby. the hotel offers self-service laundry rooms, a gym, and a cozy lounge for members. definitely recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The views from The River hotel were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the stunning sights of the Chicago River and the iconic Trump building right across from my window was a true highlight of my stay. The convenient location made it incredibly easy for me to explore Chicago's architectural marvels and world-renowned parks, including Millennium Park and the Chicago Riverwalk. I also loved the diverse dining options just a short stroll away.

I did find it inconvenient that the bedrooms in the One-Room Suite had no doors or curtains, which affected the privacy and comfort level of the room.

The location exceeded my expectations. So close to the Magnificent Mile and the downtown area. The room was very clean and the staff was excellent. The crew at the front desk was very nice and kind, providing a pleasant stay. The relaxing leisure room and nearby landmarks like Cloud Gate and the Art Institute of Chicago enhanced our family bonding experience, making our stay truly memorable.

5 Star Location - River Hotel Chicago's ideal spot by the Chicago River and Michigan Ave is unbeatable. Despite a slight bed discomfort, the convenience of nearby transit options and stunning views made my stay unforgettable. The friendly staff's helpfulness and easy access to attractions charmed me.

The staff were super nice and I got a sweet room with an awesome river view. The maid found my lost diamond stud and was very honest about it - gave her a special shoutout to the manager! Loved the free water bottles on each floor and the cool snacks they had. 🌟 TV room and wine & cheese nights were great. One small thing - bathroom was a bit messy with hair everywhere and water splashing all over from the shower. Hope they can improve that!

I stayed at the River hotel during a transit in Chicago and found its proximity to transport options very convenient. The hotel is only 1.9 km from Ogilvie Transportation Center and a 5-minute walk from State/Lake station, providing seamless travel. being just 20 km away from Midway International Airport made my journey hassle-free.

The room was unkept and uncomfortable, with a noisy, uncomfortable bed and cleanliness issues such as a dirty window seal and broken closet door. The overall condition of the room did not meet expectations for a restful stay.

The River hotel's location in Chicago's Loop was truly exceptional. I was able to explore the city's architectural marvels, visit the renowned Millennium Park, and enjoy vibrant museums, all within walking distance. The hotel's amenities, including free high-speed Wi-Fi and a Keurig Brewing System, added a luxurious touch to my stay. the custom-designed, non-smoking room with a queen-size bed provided stunning views of the Chicago River and was comfortable for a delightful Chicago adventure.

The room, although comfortable, lacked a fridge, which would have been convenient for storing snacks and beverages. while the cleaning service was satisfactory, there were some minor dust and dings on the furniture that could have been improved.

Great Location and Helpful Staff

The hotel's prime location along the river in the Loop and proximity to Magnificent Mile made it convenient for exploring the city. the staff were always friendly and eager to assist with any queries. However, improvements could be made in maintaining room cleanliness and ensuring prompt elevator service.

the hotel was super central - we could walk everywhere. they have complementary tea/coffee & refreshments on the 2nd floor. the room was cleaned daily & bed linen changed daily. and get this - they have a complementary laundry service on the lower level!

The room had a great view of the Chicago River and comfortable beds with quality amenities. The hotel's location is perfect, close to attractions and public transportation. However, room cleanliness and service were inconsistent, and the room description was misleading for our group size.

We had a blast exploring the grounds and watching the incredible aquatic animals, especially Ellie the sea otter. Plus, the hotel's WiFi was super clutch for posting all about our adventures!

We wished for a more happening nightlife scene within the hotel - like a cool rooftop bar or a fun club where we could keep the party going after exploring the city's hotspots.

Excellent location, close to major attractions and restaurants. Great river views. Easy access to airport via public transport. Complimentary fruit, coffee, tea, and cereal bars on the 2nd floor. Water refill fountains available. Room upgraded to a river view.

Felt like home, nothing to complain about.

The view of the Chicago River from the room was like a painting come to life. Watching the hustle and bustle of the city below was mesmerizing. It felt like being a part of a vibrant, living art piece.
