Great location near the water and historic charm. the bathroom was nicely updated and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was cold and damp, making it difficult to get warm and comfortable. the mattresses were not very comfortable, and the air conditioning units were noisy.

This hotel offers a picnic lunch which is great for enjoying during your day trips. Additionally, its close proximity to the ferry makes it convenient for exploring nearby islands. the veranda provides a pleasant spot to relax in the evenings and enjoy the breeze.

The hotel can be a bit noisy, with party noise from the bar downstairs and the possibility of being woken up by other guests. the Wi-Fi connection is very slow, making it difficult to get any work done.

We stayed at Riverview for a weekend getaway and it was perfect! The common area veranda offered a beautiful water view, and being right across the street from the Cumberland ferry was convenient. The bar and restaurant were open on Sunday night, which was a pleasant surprise. Unlike other BnBs we've stayed at, our room was spacious enough to comfortably walk around and open our suitcases. The high beadboard ceilings and comfortable bed in the Rockefeller Room ensured a restful sleep. The recently renovated bathroom was sparkling clean and the water pressure and hot water were great. We're already planning our return visit!

Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Conveniently located for Cumberland Island camping trip. Public Veranda upstairs. Good little buzz at the downstairs bar. Pet friendly with house dogs and cat. Great character and seating areas. Good restaurants nearby. Quaint, intriguing town. Extensive renovations planned.

I recently stayed at a hotel that had the perfect blend of old-fashioned charm and modern comfort. The historic building, dating back to the early 20th century, has been tastefully renovated. The rooms, although small, were well-appointed and offered a view of the river from the second floor. The staff was friendly, providing efficient service throughout my stay. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located right across from the ferry, making it a great base for exploring the nearby Cumberland Island.

Minor improvements could be made to enhance the overall experience.

The hotel's location is perfect for anyone planning a trip to Cumberland Island as it is right across the street from the ferry we took. The breakfast offered was delicious and had a special homemade touch with pound cake. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The window shutters were a nice touch, allowing me to adjust the lighting to my preference. The location of the hotel was also convenient. I had a pleasant stay at Riverview Hotel.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The prices are reasonable, and the location is exquisite. We stayed on the public balcony, and it was amazing to sit outside and watch the river. The rooms on the second floor are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The view of the river was breathtaking! Moreover, the staff was friendly and helpful. They paid attention to the details, placing towels in the wall on either side of the sink. Breakfast was delicious, and the selection of cereals was plentiful.

We loved the location right across the street from the ferry to Cumberland Island National Seashore. The hotel's proximity to the river provided beautiful views from the upstairs community balcony porch. The small town charm of this city was refreshing, and we enjoyed exploring the nearby park. The staff was helpful and attentive, making our stay enjoyable.

The view from our room was amazing! We loved watching the boats come in and out of the harbor. Although the building is old, it definitely added to the charm of the town. We enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and the fact that there were resident pets in the lobby. The restaurant had great food and the bar was a lot of fun. we would recommend this hotel for a unique and memorable experience.

We stayed at the charming Riverview Hotel in St. Mary's for a few days. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the historic ambiance added to the charm. The continental breakfast was a nice touch, and we loved having a restaurant and bar right on the property. The location was perfect, within walking distance to downtown shops and close to the ferry for Cumberland Island. We would definitely stay here again if we return.

We spent Thanksgiving at an old-fashioned hotel with lots of character. the perfect location, right next to the river-crossing, made it very convenient for our visit to the nearby island. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, accentuated by the waitstaff and the delicious food they served us. the box lunch is also a great perk for day trips. the balcony overlooking the river was the best part of the visit, complete with plenty of comfy rocking chairs to sit and relax in and enjoy the view.

The hotel still and needs a complete restoration, but it's historic and charming. While it was charming, sections of the building were showing their age.
